2011-01-23 03:45:13 PM
We've done far, far worse.

2011-01-23 03:54:45 PM
Then tell me, "Future Boy", who's President in the United States in 1985?

Ronald Reagan.

Ronald Reagan? The actor?

Then who's VICE-President? Jerry Lewis?

internutthead:

Thank you.

Jesse Ventura? Arnold Schwarzenegger? Heath Shuler? Jim Bunning?

We not only could do worse, we have done worse.

Sonny Bono? Jack Kemp? Tom Osborne? Clint Eastwood to a lesser extent.

Why not? I wonder what Olbermann wants though, has he even spoken publically after his last show?

Relatively Obscure: We've done far, far worse.

He's too delicate for the job.

Part of it entails debating others and Keith is too much of a pussy to do that. His show was nothing but a bunch of "yes" men kissing his ass until they had fly's buzzing around their lips.

If your premise is true, why is Bachmann elected and why is Palin still a viable candidate?

the invite was open. the Republicans were just too chicken to come on the show. why should they? they can get all the media they want and never have to answer tough questions. Palin proves that everyday.

To take Joe Lieberman's seat? Pure, pure win... come to think of it, he does seem kind of Senatorial....

2011-01-23 06:29:06 PM
I'd vote for him.

The Bonzo guy? WTF?

Next thing you know you'll suggest that guy who did that Any Which Way But Loose guy or some farkin' wrester or body builder for office.

Don't people realize that these offices are for serious candidates only?

The best part of that joke was, "Who's the First Lady, Jane Wyman?"

The lulz would be worth it.

Nice pic. Botox did not do him any favors there.

Come on, Franken was a professional comedian. There's no way Keith Olbermann could be almost as funny. That's just cruel.

2011-01-23 09:23:30 PM
I'm not sure if this is an attempt by seriously misguided people to spread an idea they honestly think is a good idea, or simply an attempt by the more thoughtful of them to justify Franken's election by making Olbermann seem like such a bad idea that Franken seems completely normal by comparison.

radiumsoup: justify Franken's election by making Olbermann seem like such a bad idea

Yeah, that's it.

2011-01-23 09:31:32 PM
no, no, no

for the love of god, no

Keith Olbermann is no Al Franken. Not even close.

Where the hell did they get Connecticut from?

2011-01-23 09:54:57 PM
Sure... if he ran, he'd have a line of Farklibs lined up to polish his knob/send him money for his campaign.

what could you POSSIBLY have against Al Franken?

You might not like that he's a Democrat -- but, geeze -- he's a decent guy and a reasonable jr. senator.

what? what district in their right mind would put a ex-host up for a election over their normal pool of waffles

/sarcasim, you decide

That has already been justified by the vote tally.
Not to mention Franken's abilities.

Massachusetts was feeling a bit frisky, and Rhode Island was right there....

Don't we have enough pompous arrogant partisan douchebags in politics?

2011-01-23 09:57:49 PM
I don't think government would suit him well; principles don't mean much in Congress. It would quickly turn into "Mr. Olby Goes to Washington".

Well, considering neither Hillary nor Schumer are retiring any time soon, New York is out of the question.

I agree with this. The Zionist media would fight it, but he states the truth. Go Keith!

I like Olbermann as a TV host and often agree with him, I really do.

But as a person, the dude is raging asshole of the highest order.

I worked with him back at ESPN, and he was really a miserable human being who acted like a petulant child at all times and treated everybody around him like dog crap.

You know that video of Bill O'Reilly freaking out on set? Yeah, that was Olbermann almost every single night on the set of Sportscenter.

Wow, I think I finally understand GaryPDX's nefarious plot from yesterday:

Exhaust the rational Farkers so that trolls can take over the politics tab.

He's well informed. Therefore, he can't possibly be a senator. It makes him an "elitist".

/Honestly, I want elitists to run this country. Bring on the economists, engineers, and biologists.
//I don't ever want to hear something like "it's a series of tubes" ever again.
