Eh, it's fine. I like it about as much as authentic mexican taco "beef" which is usually stretched significantly with bean or potato. Tacos are cheap food prepared in a cheap way, that means stretching ingredients. And you know what, it tastes fine. I wish tex mex places wouldn't use cheddar though, it's gross. Whati s that white cheese many mexican places use? It's wonderful.

EsteeFlwrPot: djkutch: EsteeFlwrPot: Taco bell used to make me poop like crazy. I'd get really farking stoned and eat a shiatload of it and then crap my face off. Bad times. Really bad times.

Are we talking squirts or firm, finely tapered movements?

This is about diet and science.

Well it was taco bell so i'm talking squirts. The loud, hot, watery kind that burns. This one time I was smoking with a group of friends in this girls apartment. We got taco bell and I ate it so fast I didn't even remember finishing it (or maybe that was because I was stoned). Anyway I had a crush on one of the guys there and I was trying to talk to him about science fiction books to get his interest and then I had to poop really bad. Anyway, the bathroom was in the next room and you could imagine how embarrassed I was when I had the squirts.

'How much actual beef is in Taco Bell food?' is not quite as alarming as 'how much actual beef is in Taco Bell 'beef'. Taco Bell food includes tortillas, lettuce, etc.

So, nothing but meat would be 100%, but the 36% number means that the other 64% is taco shell, cheese, lettuce...

Huh?

No sir. Here at MarlaJug's Tacos, we have 100% beef in our tacos.

And the sauce is warm, thick and pectin-free.

If im in a hurry, can I get a to go box?

So, this is a case where I'm glad taco bell is getting sued and I hope they lose big. I don't care what they sell, as long as they advertise honestly, and I LOT of these places don't advertise honestly, so I'm glad someone's being held accountable.

That said, based on the actual ingredients list, is it really that bad for you? It sounds like it's probably better for you than good old 72% lean / 28% fat hamburger meat.

The end times are nie. We have lost our morals. We must get back to basics and follow the teachings of the Holy Bible. Everyone must get right with God, and fast. Get happy and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. He loves you all. You all must know however, though He is all loving, if you do not fall to your knees and repent and obey He will cast you into a lake of fire. Brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers will all burn. There will be much rending of flesh and gnashing of teeth. Those of us who chose the Light will look down from Heaven onto you all and laugh with endless glee, along with the Lord, as we watch you sinners writhe in agony for all eternity. This is Gods love. REPENT!!!!

I've heard that mcdonalds uses a lot of soy in their "beef", but some quick research claims that it is 100% all beef with no fillers. Anyone know the truth?

My company sells McD's one of the ingredients used in its burgers. I posted a few minutes ago in another thread that my company supplies to Home Depot. You may draw your own conclusions.

I'm not that smart.

Draw the lines for me, please.

Delicious. Ever since I moved to West San Jose I've stopped eating at Taco Bell entirely. Had 3 chicken soft tacos last night. Thank you Taco Thursdays.

Oh! And their fountain Coke is legit. Hard to find good fountain Coke most places.

We have taco Tuesdays in MI.

I just know that $1.50 + tax there fills me up, and I don't feel awful afterwards. And the employees generally are awesome, even if there's sometimes a wait at the drivethrough. That's pretty kickass.

I don't think this is false advertising. The standards for wheat may be called "ground beef" apply when you're selling that alone. Everyone understands when you get a beef taco, there are plenty of ingredients other than beef that go into a taco. Saying a taco is made with beef is not saying the taco IS beef.

For example, if you made a mix of cinnamon, brown sugar, and butter, you couldn't sell it as "cinnamon", but if you used that as filling for a sweet roll, you COULD certainly sell that product as a "cinnamon roll", even though the filling isn't pure cinnamon.
