There are cubits in a slinky?

Noah was one righteous dude if he could build something like that.

Great. Its got giant tanks full of Hydrogen. I wonder how that will work out? Being a Russian design, I expected it to have a nuclear reactor.

It's the height of modern technology and design. What could possibly go wrong with a large accumulation of hydrogen?

Russia-based architectural firm Remistudio proposes this arch-shaped floating hotel as a refuge from even extreme floods.

Wow, what a great idea to float in the ocean to avoid floods! I wonder if it's also earthquake proof?

I don't understand what's going on here. The pics show it being sunken into the earth until a catastrophe occurs... how do you uncover it to make it a boat later?
Also, with that much stuff at that height, wouldn't a good wave just knock it over?
I'm bad at this kinda stuff, help me out...

So this "Boat" technology, can it really save us from rising water?
...they just might have something here!

My guess is that building and maintaining this "ark" would cost 10 times more energy and other resources than raising a conventional building, or 3 times the cost of a cruiser ship. But it's okay because greenies need the attention.

The earthquake won't be the problem. But the ensuing tsunami will water the plants fully.

Oh, it wasn't THAT bad. I found it surprisingly entertaining.

Best part was all those bits they did of Woody Harrelson with a hidden camera.

Doesn't anyone remember when the Earth got completely destroyed and we came here? And the government decided not to tell all the stupid people because it would...

Russians design giant ark to get free publicity for their architectural studio

FTFY.

When people do stuff like this, they aren't serious. It's just for the publicity. They have not a shred of intention of ever trying to get this thing built -- but if they did, it would be for the publicity.

It's fine to ooh, ahh, and snark at the design, but it's less serious than the average comic book.

/not hating on comic books per se
