I'm posting from the river ferry. I won't be in much today, as Ms. Samurai, glove88mph and some friends are headed to the Cincy-Cleveland game.

I'm ticked that Delhomme isn't starting, because I was really looking forward to booing him one more time in person. Maybe if I'm busy Delhomme-hating Carolina will get it in their head to not suck out loud. Or if they do, the axe will finally fall.

Should I start Schaub, Matty Ice, or Brady?

2010-12-19 11:51:25 AM
Why Would I Read the Article: They're 19th against the run (Panthers are 25th), but losing Rodgers puts their defense on the field for at least another 6 minutes, I bet. And New England has been rolling, while the Cards are terrible (last week against the Donkeys notwithstanding).

Dude, the Packers have the #1 scoring defense. No matter what you think NE might do tonight, it's not a good matchup. And the Cards are up against the Panthers, so no matter how bad AZ is, Carolina is worse.

BJGE is gonna punch it in the end zone two times today. Book it.

So in other words pretty much anything other than this is going to happen.

CavalierEternal: RminusQ: CavalierEternal: Wait, I thought the Browns were totally eliminated? Are you saying there's still a way for them to make the playoffs?!

You are correct. I forgot to update that line after the Monday night game (the highlighting and shiat isn't automatically done), just the grid).

WAY TO GET MY SLIM HOPES UP.

If I recall correctly, we had a little wager this season. Do I recall correctly?

Orgasmatron138: So if The Giants win tonight and the Packers lose, do you sit Aaron Rodgers the rest of the season?

sure....hey, djever notice how Matt Flynn looks like.....MATT DAMON?

If Hightower has even one fumble, run him out of town too. Beanie doesn't liek to get hit, and Timmy can't hang on to the rock. if i recall the local column correctly (tues or weds), Hightower leads the team in dropped passes. And he fumbles all the godamn time.

those cats need to produce. i'm getting so farking sick of Beanie Windshield* leave the game allt he time.

*get it? he's made of glass? lke a windshield?

It's so freaking annoying to watch. With all of the issues this team has (QB/OT/QB/DE/CB/QB/OLB/QB/QB/QB) they can't afford to start over at RB, especially when they have a serviceable 1-2. HOLD ON TO THE FARKING BALL AND STAY ON THE FIELD NANCY BOYS! Gah.

Sweet, I get to watch a double dose of Manning for the early games.

The season isn't over if that happens. It'll just be out of their hands as far as getting in to the playoffs is concerned. I don't see any way Rodgers sits, even if they're out of it in week 17.

Woodhead vs. Pack
Torain vs. Cowboys
Steve Johnson vs. Dolphins
Holmes vs. Pitt
Britt vs. Texans

Woodhead and either Torain or Johnson. With Lee Evans out, Johnson might see more balls thrown his way.

Dude start Britt. He's the only person who can catch on the Titans.

Against Indy's less than stellar D-fense i'd go with MJD, he's been hot lately.

This shouldn't even be a question. Colts are bad against the run, and MJD is still a stud, practice or no. Don't overthink it.

they just said on ESPN that Jones Drew is good.. and Indy's run defense is GARBAGE.
Also, the Law Firm is going up against GB's defense.. and Matthews is a beast. Go Runnin with MJD

Lets see what my local stations have in store for me on this day featuring some of the best games of the year.

KC vs St Louis
Philly at the Giants
Donkeys at Oakland.

Well except for KC at St Louis I cant complain. They cant really expect any Ravens or Saints fans here I guess.

It's a fair point, the D is going to be on the field more because Matt Flynnmon hasn't shown jack so far.

I'd still go with Hightower.

Truthfully, it doesn't matter. If I recall, the bet was a sixer of good beer on the loser, and since a) there's no way I lost that bet and b) I don't drink anymore, I was only reminded of it because of my desire to put the screws to a Browns fan. It's getting harder to do, let me tell you. The Browns might actually be good in the next few years.

That's a shame because I do, in fact, happen to have two untouched six-packs of Great Lakes Christmas Ale in the back of my fridge right now. We can call it even since I never received payment for the wager you lost last year. ;D

Why shouldn't I play for the Pack? That's a tough one, but I'll take a shot. Say I'm under center at Lambeau. Somebody puts a blitz package in, something nobody else can break. Maybe I take a shot at it and maybe I break it. I make the hot read and we gain 2 yards and I don't get sacked. And I'm real happy with myself, 'cause I did my job well. But maybe I missed a hot read that could have gone for 6. Once they know I can make that read, they blitz me all day and fifteen hundred people in the stands, people I never met, never had no problem with, don't get their touchdown. Now the studio crew is sayin', "Oh, send in the kicker to get the easy three points", 'cause they don't give a shiat. It won't be their team over there, gettin' housed. Just like it wasn't them when their number got called, 'cause they were pullin' a tour on the IR or PUP. It'll be some kid from LSU takin' a blitz in the ass. And he comes back to find that the team he used to play for didn't have a great season in the SEC. And the guy who put the blitz on my ass, his kid might get a shot at LSU. Meanwhile, he realizes the only reason he was over there in the first place was that Rodgers got a concussion. we could install an offensive package that would let us be competitive. Just manage the game.

And, of course, the Patriots used Rodger's injury over here to scare up the Packers. A cute little ancillary benefit for them, but it ain't helping my buddy Aaron. And they're takin' their sweet time bringin' the QB back, of course, and maybe even took the liberty of hiring an alcoholic coach who likes to drink martinis and farkin' play slalom with the starting lineup and it ain't too long 'til he blows a game. Kills all the playoff hopes in Lambeau. So now my buddy's out of work and he can't afford to play, so he's got to walk to the locker room , which sucks 'cause his concussion is givin' him chronic migraines. And meanwhile he's starvin', 'cause every time he tries to get a throw a pass, the only pass he's throwin' is a 5 yard checkdown.

So what did I think? I'm holdin' out for somethin' better. I figure fark it, while I'm at it why not just hand the ball off, take his job, give it to his sworn enemy, hike up season ticket prices, bomb a pass, club Belichick, hit the WR on a skinny post and win the game? I could be named starter in 2011 and make it to Canton.

mjoven1975: Raider

If that was a Monday night game with Gannon as QB for KC I was there. And it has been pouring buckets all week here. That field is gonna be the equivalent of a small lake by game time. If Tebow can walk on water today he could prove it. I'd rather see the Raiders end his career today instead though.

My WR corps is cursed. Lost Malcom Floyd and Dez Bryant over the last couple weeks to injuries so for my #2 spot I'm left with:
Donald Driver @ NE
Percy Harvin vs CHI
Nate Washington vs HOU

Yes these are all shiatty options but I have to pick one.
