Compared to the horrible plastic surgery, is aging really so bad?

Here she is at Larry King's sendoff, presumably taken yesterday. She looks great for 64.

She looked a lot better 35 years ago (new window, NSFW)

I sometimes wonder why some plastic surgery seems to work out so much better than others. I saw Susan Lucci on something the other day, and she still looks damn fine at 63; same thing for Morgan Fairchild at 60.

I was thinking who was the best of the "blond roomie" on that show.

I think I would have rather had Jenilee Harrison. Then I'd nail Janet right in her flower shop.

I am SO with you there. She was easily the hottest woman on that show.

Meh, she doesn't look that bad. Though I think plastic surgery is ugly near 100% of the time, I wouldn't even call this a "bad" plastic surgery.

What do you expect from a woman who clearly thinks Kotex make fashion accessories?

Jesus, she actually DOES have sharp knees.....

Why the hell did she replace the flesh on her face with orange rinds?

It was just bad lighting, she looks a lot better in this picture.

Not horrible for 64. Would now like to look 1/2 as good as she did at my age.

Fun fact: Larry's last name from Three's Company was Dalliapoulos.

No comment on the plastic surgery thing. All the stars do it to try to keep from looking their age, often with disastrous results. But, it's their bodies and their faces and their money so it's their call.

But I gotta say the site the article is on, mediaouttake.com (the most visited urban website in the world) really would benefit from having some commenters visit who could compose a coherent thought.

As I understand it, 64 year old women are supposed to look the same way they did when they were 25.

Therefore, it confuses and startles me when I am confronted with the evidence of women aging.

*shrug*. I don't think she looks bad. I've seen much worse on actresses younger than her.

Many years ago my dad got free tickets to her song and dance extravaganza at Lake Tahoe and my boyfriend and I took them for the hell of it. While I sure wouldn't have paid for the tickets she was a pretty decent singer and was jovial enough on stage. Her opening act was an unknown comic named David Spade, who was so filthy (but very funny) that most of the average-age-of-65 audience members were gasping in horror throughout his set.

I am pretty sure this is being pointed out on fark because she isn't aging normally. She is choosing to look far, far worse than she would otherwise by getting horrific plastic surgery.

You people saying that she doesn't look so bad need to take the time to scroll down the page a little and see the real picture.

Where Nikki Cox is concerned, she would have to put her Star Trek:TNG alien make-up back on to be presentable.

You know, a lot of actresses respond to criticism of their surgeries by noting that they have to keep the appearance of youth in order to get jobs and the such. I wonder if it's an elaborate joke: "Okay, honey, you need to work and get some cash. How about you do your face so it looks like the Annoying Orange on botox and we can get you a shiatty role on Lifetime or something? Okay?"

Seriously, acting jobs are hard to come by, but at what point do you just say 'fark it' and move on? Come on: Somers is singing at Lake Tahoe for crying out loud. At that point you know it's over. At least keep your dignity.

in the close up on the bad pictures, it looks like she is drooling down the middle of her chin. that's weird (or it could be lighting)

Am I the only one who notices the difference in the 2 pictures that were both obviously taken yesterday? The one from TFA looks to be shopped to me. How could someone get so bad looking so quickly?

Larry King show yesterday-

Looks like shenanigans to me. I'm betting she still looks really good.

"What the freak did Suzanne Somers did to her face"

"Now she ooks like Donatella Versace"

Website owners should have to do a written test before being allowed to pollute the Internet.

I saw her in Tahoe at least 25 years ago (aging myself, I know). I don't know that she could pull a headliner there now. Scoff if you will but that is big bucks for B celebs. If I was in her shoes, I'd take it - wouldn't you? I don't think she could headline in Tahoe now. I'm not a big casino-city denizen, but the last time I was there (3 years ago) much more contemporary B acts were headlining. Nobody I can remember right this second but still. She's probably not hurting for money. She's not a sideshow Hollywood clown-act screaming for attention. She's relatively low-key, and is relatively well-preserved. I won't jump on the hate bandwagon.

Ideally, yes. Men too.

Especially considering atoms don't have an age, it startles me every day.

Suzanne Somers should just let herself age gracefully. She's a beautiful woman, and messing it up with plastic surgery is taking away that natural beauty.

I always loved her smile. It was just pitch perfect.
