That would have been much cooler built about 25 years ago. Not that many people anymore (especially under 30) that even remember M*A*S*H* enough to appreciate it (and they don't rerun MASH much in the last 10 years like they used to).

Although, it would be interesting to visit on a road trip, kind of like hitting the Christmas Story house if you have to be near Cleveland.

Maybe I am not aware of this (probably something similar to this in L.A. somewhere I'm not aware of), but, you'd think someone like TV Land or someone like that would do an "Adult Theme Park/Museum" that was VERY accurate recreations of Classic TV sets in one place. Some that would be kinda cool to go through:

* WKRP Offices/Production Booth
* I Dream of Jeanie Bottle
* Mary Tyler Moore Offices

/yeah, the Merv Griffin Studio episode was one of my favorites from Seinfeld

With Hawaii 5-0 being a hit, I think we'll be seeing more "stylish reboots", whether they should be made or not.

I'm 27 and I own every season on DVD. Actually, I'm watching season 4 with my girlfriend right now. She's 21 and also loves M*A*S*H

M*A*S*H is on TV Land several times a week.

It was a one-of-a-kind show and a "reboot" would never work.

The original compound used for the show is outside of San Diego, and is a tourist attraction.

That being said, it'd be pretty weird to recreate the set in your backyard. But I'm not one to judge.

Well, if you want to be really happy, I'm 27, started watching MASH reruns when I was 13, and bought the DVD sets as they came out. in 2002-2006 (or was it 2007?).

MASH isn't obscure yet, by any means... But it is getting harder to find on TV. When I started watching in 1997, local Fox affiliates or independent UHF channels would air it. Then, TV Land and Hallmark took over airing it, but Hallmark has pulled it, and TV Land has went to shiat anyway, deciding shows from the 90s and reality shows are now "classics".

But, pretty much all old TV Shows have been dropped for cheap reality shows and stuff from the 90s and early 2000s.

Now, I'm off to anonymously leave high-end chocolates at the door of a local orphanage. I certainly hope they don't sell them off to buy rice and cabbage.

You just assume I'm Charles because I have a sister who stutters, and I can no longer enjoy classical music because the five Korean gentlemen I whipped into an impromptu classical quartet were killed in a shell attack.

My mother has a half dozen cans of creamed corn, for some reason. I think of that episode every time I open her pantry.

Why anyone would inflict that abomination upon poor corn is beyond me. BLECH!

No, he needs to be charged for having too much time and money and too little of a life.

I love M*A*S*H but this is something even Hawkeye would have decided against.

It drives me insane how they air one more ad over half the outgoing credits on shows and mute the music (missing part of All in the Family's great piano solo). ARGH!!

1 - According to the Reddit thread this most recently popped up in, the guy who made is works on props, and this is his fun little side project.

2) You old Farkers are completely (mis)underestimating the regularity of still-semi-frequent reruns of M*A*S*H on TV, and the younger generation's willingness to watch it completely out of order and without context, if there aren't TNG reruns on.

and they don't rerun MASH much in the last 10 years like they used to

And, oddly enough, if you look, it is on this very minute.. and somewhere between 4 to 8 times almost every day.

Did they really run it that much more in "the old days"

/right now on TVLand: Episode: "5 O'Clock Charlie"
An inept enemy pilot's bombing raids amuse the camp.
/oddly enough HATED MASH as a kid but love it as an adult.. think his backyard is lame as hell but would enjoy having the pit as a nice party room lol

...they also shot some stuff outside Simi too.....but a show filmed in LA wouldn't us SD as a filming location.

I would spend obscene amounts of time there if it existed. Probably spend a good chunk of it at the Munster's/Addam's Family house
