Edwards was told by her doctors last week that additional cancer treatments were futile, said a source close to the family. Her prognosis was described in terms of weeks, not months, the source said.

So sad. How difficult to have to tell someone that; how difficult to have to hear it.

Here's hoping she's comfortable for the rest of the time she has.

With my mom, when the metastases hit, they went to the lungs, not the liver. Morphine suppresses breathing. It made for an easier way out. Honestly, trolls, I hope you never have to face watching a loved one die of breast cancer. It changes you, and not in a good way.
