2003-07-04 12:29:56 PM
Ummm...I just got out of bed?
2003-07-04 12:30:06 PM
I'm in the middle of an insane thunderstorm. Going outside would surely mean that I would be impaled by a car or small animal blown about by the high winds. If it calms down, maybe I'll have a barbecue later
2003-07-04 12:30:07 PM
the fourth of july is dumb.
2003-07-04 12:30:14 PM
I am sick.

I also expelled most of my fireworks last night.

oh well.....
2003-07-04 12:30:54 PM
Waiting to go to work from 5 to 2. Let me know how the fireworks go.
2003-07-04 12:31:41 PM
why??? What happens on the 4th of July???

I like the supposed true story about the american in Dublin who askes "Do you have a 4th of July over here"???
2003-07-04 12:33:30 PM
I should get dressed and do a bit of yardwork before the afternoon BBQ at my uncle's house.
2003-07-04 12:35:51 PM
I live in Phoenix. It's gonna be 110 degrees in the shade today.

However, I probably will go and check out my local areas fireworks display when it cools down to a crisp 95 degrees tonight.

Happy 4th everyone!
2003-07-04 12:37:05 PM
In 30 minutes, I won't be here.
2003-07-04 12:37:10 PM
I am eating hummus.
2003-07-04 12:38:07 PM
Ah yes! The fourth of July! Celebrating... absolutely nothing for me.
2003-07-04 12:38:11 PM
Working on stuff. But in a few hours I'll be going out to Turner Field for the Braves game. Woot.

Why is "there" always better than "here"?
2003-07-04 12:40:34 PM
Blowing shiat up.
2003-07-04 12:42:05 PM
I'm drinking my morning coffee and waiting for People's Court to come on. It's early... I'll get sociable later.
2003-07-04 12:42:16 PM
Why? The America that it celebrates no longer exists. Freedom? What's that? It's all smoke and mirrors. You are free only to the extent the government will allow.

/bah humbug
2003-07-04 12:43:00 PM
The tastes like burning...
2003-07-04 12:43:16 PM
"Beer Can Chicken" sounds like too much work. I'll just drink the beer, get some KFC, light fuse, and get away.
2003-07-04 12:43:35 PM
I'm inside because everyone else I know is out of town, plus I am recovering from a killer sunburn from last weekend out, AND it's still hot as FARK outside. So I can't really go outside even if I wanted to, and I don't want to. So there.
2003-07-04 12:43:59 PM
Beer Can Chicken is quite tasty... Just to let you know.
2003-07-04 12:44:00 PM
Happy 4th of July everybody!!! From one of your Northern Neighbours

ya what "Lovesandwich" said!!
2003-07-04 12:45:48 PM
And I live in Tucson, going out when it is going to be 108 = not such as great idea.... especially with the smoke creating some FABU air quality.
2003-07-04 12:46:08 PM
Sipping coffee while new wife is on the phone.

May go get my air conditioner fixed at her parent's house, and maybe have a barbecue or something. Later.

I was up until 1AM watching T3 again! It ruled!
2003-07-04 12:46:19 PM
TechieSidhe is working. (Sigh) Someone has to network sit all turn...
2003-07-04 12:46:19 PM
I'm not american but I'll light off fireworks any ways, happy 4th of july for all those who celebrate it.
2003-07-04 12:46:24 PM
I will celebrate when we are liberated from the Jewish Supremacists
2003-07-04 12:46:51 PM
"You are free only to the extent the government will allow."

Mind telling me when that wasn't true?
2003-07-04 12:47:01 PM
Thanks Neighbor.
2003-07-04 12:47:28 PM
Was watching a bit of Bush's speech at Wright-Pat earlier, but listening to it was making my head hurt so I turned it off. He really should just speak through an interpreter.
2003-07-04 12:48:17 PM
i'm at the mall today working. Can anyone tell me why the mall is open on the national holiday of independance day but closed on the christian holiday of easter?? I mean you would think that after "winning" a war, this would be a cause for celebration. But no, old navy must sell flag tee's at any cost.
2003-07-04 12:48:18 PM
Already played with krystal_i.

Too much time on the Internet has turned me into a hopeless couch potato who is inside on the Fourth of July.

Don't let it happen to you.
2003-07-04 12:49:11 PM
I'm in Vancouver. I wish it was a day off today.

I CAN, however, tell everyone to go out and make a beercan chicken. I made two last weekend and not only do you get mad props (wurd) for making two whole chickens on the grill but you get the tastiest and tenderest bbq chicken ever.

I'm Canadian. We do our flag waving on hte 1st of July.

Happy 4th to you all...

/tastes like hot dogs
2003-07-04 12:53:30 PM
Even if you're not in America, I highly suggest making beer can chicken. Or if it's only one of you, make tiny grilled quail with little cans of V8. It turns out perfect every time. My suggestion, though... Make sure you rub the inside and outside of the chicken with a whole sh!tload of salt. You won't regret it. It turns out perfect every single time.
2003-07-04 12:55:12 PM
Like I said, it turns out perfect every time. But I repeat myself...

2003-07-04 12:57:41 PM
In the true American holiday spirit, I am getting drunk off my ass as early as possible.
2003-07-04 12:57:52 PM
Hehheh... what Torchsong said.

Only 10am and it's already 95 here in Fire-nix.

I will be checking out local displays this evening, and will probably see some smoke bombs... errrr... structure fires during the day. They seem to be a daily occurance here during the summer.

Happy 4th All!!
2003-07-04 12:58:05 PM
I spy some still bitter limeys in here. C'mon guys, that was over 300 years ago, can't we be friends?

I will be celebrating the unparalleled dominance of my country over every other country in the world, in every aspect that matters. :)

Canada sucks.
2003-07-04 12:58:19 PM
I'm working, because capitalism makes us free.

Then after work I'll be drinking shiatloads of beer and playing with the $300 worth of fireworks I bought last night.
2003-07-04 01:01:22 PM
I'm not inside, since you ask.

New laptop + wireless-g + nice weather = bliss

Anyways, enjoy the holiday, everyone! And if you got stuck working, go buy a beer so you have something to cry in.
