On the bright side, this cements the certainty of his defeat in '04.

What a moron.

I am embarassed that Bush is from the US. Please feel free to not listen to my records anymore.

2003-07-02 01:04:48 PM
Why didnt he just go all out and say Allah is a fake god and that all A-rabs are dirty heathens? I mean, if the goal is to get them to attack us again so he can enjoy his "Strong leader in face of crisis" approval rating again, why not go all out?

2003-07-02 01:05:34 PM
Hey, he's just a drunk spoiling for a fight...

...oh wait, he gave all that up, didn't he. Except the fighting, I guess.

2003-07-02 01:05:48 PM
Iraqi forces and foreign Mujihadeen have are currently waging a full-scale guerilla war against U.S. forces. The best thing they could do, from the U.S. standpoint, is come out and fight, so they can be destroyed. If they're foolish enough to respond to a taunt, so much the better.

2003-07-02 01:06:20 PM
Good for him. I agree.

2003-07-02 01:06:45 PM
ok so he wants the Guerilla tactics to continue cause we are tough enough to handle it??? I am in full support of the US MILITARY in this (carefully phrased to avoid hitting the your not a patriot act) but it is foolish to tell the people doing this guerilla warfare to go ahead and continue we can take it. Has history taught this man nothing???

/puts his tin foil hat back on (shiny side out of course) to stay under the radar of the Gov't

I'm not trying to start a flame war here, I'm truly not. But, is everyone on FARK a liberal?

I never, ever see anyone say anything good about Bush or in support of the actions our leadership has taken.

What's the deal? Is there really nobody on here who supports military action? Or is it just "en vogue" to make fun of Bush, so everyone does it to be "cool"?

Again, I'm not trying to flame, it's an honest question. It wouldn't be posed if I saw any sort of mixed sentiment but in all the messages I read around here, there's a huge liberal slant.

2003-07-02 01:07:03 PM
Glad he's willing to taunt the militants into killing troops whilst he sits safely in the whitehouse. I'm sure the troops will appreciate the added attention.

"Go ahead and shoot him" never makes for a good debate.

What is this? The WWF/WWE?!

"I've got one thing to say to the Wacky Iraqi, Mean Gene: Nobody messes with the American Cowboy and gets out of that ring with all their teeth! So if you and the rest of your posse want to tangle at Summer Slam, you better be ready handle some shock and awe! Bring it on!"

2003-07-02 01:07:30 PM
you have to understand the arab mind. they don't think like people in the west. to back down to threats is to show weakness, and to invite further attacks. arabs respect shows of force and power.

"i love the cowboy in the backround"

The cowboy is Teddy Roosevelt. Rather look at him than the fool in the foreground.

"Hey, he's just a drunk spoiling for a fight...

Since when has Bush given up drinking?

2003-07-02 01:07:36 PM
Oh come on now.. This isn't going to bother his ratings even a little bit. I, for one, wish he hadn't said it but who cares... He's right, we apparently aren't having any problems whatsoever taking care of such futile attacks...

2003-07-02 01:07:40 PM
How much you want to bet that he'll soon be claiming there are WMDs in the DNC's headquarters, and that they must be destroyed? Preferably before November 2004?

If by liberal you mean intelligent critical thinkers, then you are correct.

"We always welcome help. We're always glad to include others in. But make no mistake about it, and the enemy shouldn't make any mistake about it, we will deal with them harshly if they continue to try to bring harm to the Iraqi people," he said.

Amen. Re-election is imminent.

Bushism du jour:

"You've also got to measure in order to begin to effect change that's just more - when there's more than talk, there's just actual - a paradigm shift."

Um, what happens if the forces you are describing, decide instead to launch a guerilla war on U.S. soil? How many more 9/11's is "so much the better"?

2003-07-02 01:08:56 PM
I read an article not too long ago about how bush always bites his lip when he lies.

2003-07-02 01:09:06 PM
Actually, while I typed that a couple people said something like "Good. Kick arse." so I guess I shouldn't have said never, but still, it's like a huge, overwhelming majority who seem to be on the far left.

Yeah I think everyone here is a tree-hugging liberal, at least from all the pissy-pants comments I've read today.

Fark 'em all

Another fine chimp-face photo, too

2003-07-02 01:09:51 PM
Chadm89 Yes, Fark.com is a Liberal haven. People such as myself find it painful to read the political threads... But, it's entertaining to see how far off so many people can be.

Vote Bush In 2004.

Ahh, he's quite the diplomat, isn't he?

2003-07-02 01:10:10 PM
Can it be possible that Bush is getting dumber by the day?

YES!

He's a real life Homer Simpson, without the humor.

2003-07-02 01:10:35 PM
Because all those Iraqis that are sabotaging oil lines and killing our troops went home to watch this on their TVs...

2003-07-02 01:10:47 PM
ChadM89: Even if you support Bush, daring people to take potshots at U.S. Troops is not a very intelligent move.

2003-07-02 01:10:56 PM
The arrogance displayed here is simply disgusting.

Put Bush Jr. out in the field of combat, see if he still has that same attitude.

Have you been away on days when the Clintons have been bashed on Fark? Not everyone is a bleeding heart liberal here. But we do tend to criticize a lot, and since he is the president, and a controversial one at that, it's gonna happen. You probably have no problem at all when dems get slammed here, right?

2003-07-02 01:11:28 PM
GOD DAMN THIS GUY IS A IDIOT!

<bush>And bring on them there terrahrist attackers, too. Us 'mericans are tuffer'n nails. We can take it. Doyee!</bush>

*goes back to running around in his flight suit making plane noises*

I love the pic. Bushie making his "tough-guy" face in front of a mural of Teddy Roosevelt(I think). Of course he says "bring it on", he's not the one risking his ass in Iraq.

Hmmm. I am too old to know or care about what is "cool". But I do care about the future of the country, and Dubya has me seriously worried about that future.

Chad

I don't think everyone here is liberal (check out some of the other posts for the requisite "hippe liberal pinko commie idiot" posts). I do agree that there might be more liberals than conservatives though. Obviously, that is not the way the country is formed given Bush's approval rating.

2003-07-02 01:12:32 PM
He's getting more and more out there. If you're gonna issue challenges, pick up a rifle or a baseball bat and head over there, George. It's gotta be a pisser for anyone stationed in Iraq right now.

Hey, anyone know where I can buy an air freshener called "ambi-pur" in the U.S.?

2003-07-02 01:12:32 PM
Are you farking kidding me?

Regardless of the reasons why the war was fought in the first place (or if it should have been fought at all), the aftermath has been ridiculous. 20, I believe, Americans killed since the end of the war. Bush saying crap like "oops, guess we'd better prepare for a long stay in Iraq" and shiat like in this article.

I mean come on. You fight a war that lots of people on all side of the political spectrum had doubts about, and this is how you handle its end? George, you're supposed to be convincing those people that hey, maybe you were right after all, not giving them more fuel for the fire.

2003-07-02 01:12:39 PM
I said this a long time ago.

Iraq was going to be prime target for the lazy terrorist.

If you could use iraq for

A: Making it a thriving metropolis that all its neighbors want to be.

or

B: That place we could attack and it'd be just as sweet as America

Then the operation is technically a success in the retarded sense of thinking.

The more I look at Bush's thinking the more it seems like he's acting on things told to him by his rich buddies.

Especially with this whole,"Operation lets have the military watch an entire city."
