Larger? Geeze, time to buy ANOTHER new wheelbarrow, I guess.

Make spam illegal. Then you'll never have to see spam again.. just like drugs! I mean, banning drugs worked like a charm.

China? I thought Iraq was the source of terrorism in the world.

I just find it is easier to make a sleeve coated in those omnidirectional caster wheels you find on office chairs, and just use that. You do have to walk backwards to keep from tripping over it, but it takes the weight off your back, and over the right surface to road vibrations through the wheels are so worth it. Just make sure the sleeve covers the entire penis, other wise you are gonna end up with some roadrash I'd rather not imagine.

It's SPAM DAY at Fark! Yippee!

2003-07-02 05:52:31 PM
I thought most of the spam came directly from AOL.

2003-07-02 05:52:43 PM
That whole 'weeners bigger' tagline after spam articles is getting old. Especially when its done as mediocrely as this.

"New spam laws will actually make spamming far worse, weeners larger"

What? I didn't say that! I said it would make your weeners larger. Is someone farking with me?

2003-07-02 05:56:45 PM
Spam is not all bad, like ginger who wants me to show her how fark, or tonya who wants to show me how wets she gets, or the college girls getting gang banged!!

2003-07-02 05:57:55 PM
I think the Fax legistlation provides the correct prototype. You know what to do, Congress!

SLAPMESACK-

When you get that crap on your WORK computer, it's not really a good thing.

2003-07-02 05:59:35 PM
yotta - completely ignore your suggestion?

2003-07-02 06:02:37 PM
But... but... but... What about the 2 million spammers who'll be put out of a job if we make it illegal? Won't someone think of the spammers????

/sarcasm

MLAO, great headline

2003-07-02 06:11:27 PM
My ISP has a set up for $1 a month...it blocks all suspect mail. I check it 2x per day. Takes 2 minutes...tops. I love it. The government cannot do what a motivated entrepenuer can...get the fark out of my email box....
and my bed but that's for another thread

not mine, but i thought it was funny.

"But, I don't like spam."

2003-07-02 06:47:06 PM
Lawmakers are horribly corrupt. The solution is simple: all spammers should be brutally, horribly and painfully killed. The spam will stop then. I would go a step further and suggest that lawmakers taking bribes from spammers and penning pro-spam bills should also be killed.

2003-07-02 06:50:11 PM
The_Boy_Blunder, I was trying to be up-beat. I do realize that not only does Congress often fail to 'do the right thing,' but quite often does what it knows to be wrong.

2003-07-02 06:56:43 PM
I do not like it at my job
It crowds my in box like a mob
I do not like it at my house
I will not touch it with my mouse
I do not like it here or there
I do not like it anywhere
I do not like e-mail that's spam
I do not like it, sad I am

2003-07-02 07:33:02 PM
maybe if we all forward our spam to the asses you think up this stupidity they would say 'duh'

2003-07-02 07:59:55 PM
Kelsa: That's the right idea. Load your congressman's email address up with all of what you get every day, if they actually make this an "opt-out" law.

Because you know that "opting-out" will only confirm your email addy to them, and while they won't send you any mail, they will pass this list along to 100 other companies so that THEY can spam the crap outa ya.

So I think it only fair that our representatives have to weed through the fruits of their labors.

i wonder when there'll be legislation dealing with the spam that clogs my *real* mailbox. ya know. the stuff that wastes trees like it aint no thang. the stuff that landfills are overflowing with.

oh wait. those people pay the government via postage, so thats ok. nevermind.

Jonas

"mediocrely"? Is that a word?

2003-07-02 08:15:14 PM
Spam: They say it's spiced ham. That's like a McRib. They say it's rib...but what sort of predicate like "spice". It's just Rib Mc style. No bones. Looks like bones...No bones. Smokey....

2003-07-02 08:24:07 PM
Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that every person voting on this has a secretary who sorts out their e-mail for them?

USPS != government agency

USPS is so a government agency.

2003-07-02 09:04:13 PM
E-Mail bomb your spammers. 10,000 per address should do nicely. Just a sugestion ;-)

If the USPS stopped direct mailing, they'd go out of business. Just think, all that mail is presorted, they don't care about addresses, just drop one in every box for 19 cents each. The USPS loves it!

Do a google search for X-Wall. Best damn $350 I have ever spent for my company. The thing configured flawlessly on 3 different types of email servers (including Exchange) in under 15 minutes.

Everything that has a bad record from the ORBS database instantly gets canned. Everything on most other blackhole lists also gets canned instantly. If things get past that, the included subject/content filters take care of everything else.

For my company, email spam is now a thing of the past. My generic webmaster and admin mailboxes used to get 500+ a day, now I get maybe 2 or 3. It worked so well that the first couple of days I had it installed, I thought it screwed up my mail servers, because so few messages were actually making it through.

Or you could just save yourself $350, and do what we do at netmar: Use the power that sendmail gives you.

Add this to /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
