Is it Hot Puss High XXX? 'Cause if it is, I already saw it.

2003-07-02 12:14:32 AM
i hope i'm not getting old, but reading the unfiltered phrase Hot Puss High XXX makes me feel squeamish.

in related news, ha ha!!

2003-07-02 12:17:18 AM
okay, so maybe next time i need to read the article BEFORE i post...

i feel hellbound for the last post

these aren't hot coeds but rather 10 to 14 year old kids...

let's hope this means more sensible administrating ensues.

2003-07-02 12:19:45 AM
the eerie conclusion to this article:

Chalos said he did not know if the cameras were still operating.

Yikes.

2003-07-02 12:36:15 AM
Allow me to be the first to say, pics and/or movies please!

The cameras reportedly captured students, aged between 10-14, in various stages of undress.

On second thought, take that back...

Somehow, I think Ashcroft is going to get blamed for this.

2003-07-02 01:13:53 AM
Beautiful. However, the most amusing fact is that the whole fiasco was discovered because a kid reported cameras in the locker room, not by some parent wondering what the heck "4th period PE class" files were on their child's computer. The people who accessed the files 98 times were smart enough to keep their knowledge fairly quiet.

Stupid administrators. It's bad enough that they put cameras in the locker rooms, but even worse/odder that the computer storing the images was in the vice principal's office.

Dude, you know that VP was spankin' it! Sick bastard.

"William Needham, director of Overton County Schools, said the assistant principal has been transferred to another school in the system."

that's comforting.

"Good morning students and faculty, If I could have your attention please. As you may, or may not know, Principal Cambell will not be here for the rest of the week due to a throat infection. Leaving me, assistant principal Dunbar, as the school's lone administrator for the next few days."

/umm?

Quick1 that was my thoughts exactly, I was thinking of mostly Seniors and Juniors all over the age of 16 but when I read the article and it stated "between the ages 10-14"

2003-07-02 02:08:21 AM
incomplete thought, duh!
basically my ball went retrograde....

2003-07-02 02:36:59 AM
I blame Ashcroft for this!

Not really. I'm just trying to help out GEAH.

2003-07-02 03:51:05 AM
Through the magic of denial and fantasy, I'm going to read that article again. This time "between the ages 10-14" will have about 8 years padded to it.

2003-07-02 03:51:45 AM
Ashcroft is clearly to blame.

2003-07-02 05:25:48 AM
Wasn't this an episode of Boston Public?

2003-07-02 05:42:25 AM
Shouldn't this have the dumbass tag?

I'm usually proud to call Tennessee home, but sometimes I wish I had a forwarding address. But hey, a dog did not get shot this time.

2003-07-02 05:47:10 AM
I really like the fact the school didn't even try to justify the cameras for reasons like "It was to prevent theft" or "To ensure student saftey". All they say is the VP has been transferred.

In short, they know they are farked. Uber farked. And frankly, they deserve it. What kind of farking policy allows cameras in a farking locker room? Jesus christ!

2003-07-02 05:48:41 AM
Wasn't this done by a japaneese school d00d a while back?

2003-07-02 05:49:13 AM
Also, the headline is misleading. The scool isn't being sued because they didn't change the password. The school is being sued because they didn't tell the parents about the cameras, and the VP was jerkin' off to the pictures.

Garry Glitter recently went on holiday to spain. Whilst there he went water skiing. He came of the skis, and was left floundering in the water.

"Quick, quick," said an onlooker, "throw him a buoy!"

"Don't you think he's in enough trouble?" said another?

***JOKE?

In related news, back in 1987 the Metropolitan Police became concerned about clothes and valuables being stolen from the changing (locker) rooms at one of their sports clubs.

In order to catch the thief, they set up CCTV cameras in the room.

All it caught was the Chief Constable wandering around naked trying to find his clothes.

$4.2 Mil? Who's getting the money? The kids or the greedy parents who saw a money-making opportunity?

2003-07-02 06:14:24 AM
Iscariot neither.....lawyers will get 4.15 mil....rest goes to other fees and the rest is taken up in taxes.

The best part of that article was definatly the 'accessed 98 times'. I wonder what the number is now?

Im sure the school had no knowledge of the internet vulnerability. Or maybe the principal was in on it and they agreed that if something happen, the assistant principal would take the fall. Hey, better one than two.

This has to about the ultimate parent's nightmare.
I gotta wonder though, why is a story from Nashville, Tennessee broke by Australian news? It doesn't bother me so much that it's on a website in Oz, but I am surprised that more US sources haven't ran this story. I can't find any other references to this story other than from Austalian sources like this on CNN. Copy/paste, I'm too lazy to HTML right now.
http://edition.cnn.com/2003/LAW/07/01/locker.room.cameras.ap/
Anyone from Tennessee have any more info from a source a little closer to North America? I just can't understand how this story slipped under the radar screen here in the US.

Aren't there criminal charges being laid? Who wants to sue for money from an underfunded school district? Like you'd need your taxes raised because your neighbor's child was taken advantage of. I'd just want to see whoever's responsible taken out back and shot.

And if it were my kid, I'd happily volunteer.

"Hello, Livingston Middle School? I hear you're looking for a new assistant principal..."

i didn't know x10 ran a high school.

2003-07-02 08:14:51 AM
WTF?! Why the hell did school offcials think they had any right to capture nudie picks of middle schoolers (or was that high schoolers?). In any case, their need to be some people who get beat over this.

2003-07-02 08:21:57 AM
I think this setup is crazy.

I work for a company that sells cameras like the ones described. We've never sold them to a school that wanted them in the locker rooms, I'm sure that we wouldn't install them there. No wonder they're suing them too.

I wonder how many video clips those internet viewers downloaded each time.

I also wonder if they're able to trace the IP's and find out if they're connected to any school officials personally...

2003-07-02 08:27:04 AM
The administrator that thought this was a good idea and the ones that agreed should be busted for child pornography.
If US public school administrators insist upon holding kids to an absurd and unchildlike level of conduct via things like 0 tolerance policies, they should be willing to do the same to themselves.

Unfortunately it has been news here in Nashville for days, it didn't break in Australia. But thank you for spelling Tennessee correctly.

No taxes due on money garnered from lawsuits.

14 years old? Thou should see the nubile filly next door when she prances around in that tie-side bikini... you'd a thunk she was 19 from the state of her curves and mamallian protrisions.

Gotta' be mighty careful.... unless you're a lecherous fat old fart such as I..... can't even get an old hag to get close to me.

It's the "ultimate parent's nightmare"??

You don't have kids, do you.

The ultimate parent's nightmare is that they won't move out until they are in their 30s.

Who cares if they've been caught on tape, especially since it'll be paying for college now.

How come they didn't put cameras in the school locker room for 16-17 year old wayward Swedish girls? I'm just asking?

"Principal Larry Flynt unavailable for comment."

Why was this story on an Austrailian news site it took place in Tennessee?
