I'm a bit of a collector myself.

Yippee! I knew this clumsy thing would pay off eventually!

I was trying to find a picture of Jack Nicholson as the Joker when he cut up his girlfriend as an "art project," but to no avail

Good to see that oil-thing only paralyzed Tasha Yar instead of killing her.

That is actually a cool idea. Nice find!

I have a horseshoe shaped scar on my right bicep that (now) I think is kind of cool.

/has there been a Farktography contest for scars?

I thought this would be a scarification thread, the tattoo for the younger generation. Not some old surgery scar pictures

I believe the first lady pictured has just a little bit more than a scar.

/not that it makes this any less cool

Consider yourselves lucky that I lost hamburgerass.jpg a long time ago.

Wow... you didn't try very hard. It's on Wikipedia.

That said... yes, I have a cool scar. No, I wouldn't even begin to compare my pain and/or lack thereof to a paraplegic or a car wreck amputee.

And I'm not sure I'm entirely happy with myself for posting that picture in this context, as much as I love that movie.

Also, my scar turns sort of greyish blue when I work out. (It's usually pink.) I think I need to breathe differently.

I'm just guessing that you are merely getting more bloodflow to the area. My big scars do the same thing. Blood ain't red all the time.

But if you get a tattoo on the pacemaker scar and you have surgery again they might not line it up right and it would be all messed up.

I have a faint scar in the shape of a saguaro cactus on my cheek from the time my brother ran into my face with his bike. I always thought it was neat. You can't really see it anymore.

/time heals some scars?

So "art" means throwing some gaudy paint on it and taking a picture?

/not that scars couldn't be made into art, this just seems like art school drop out territory

Dave: Oh yes. Well that's what happens when you cut really deeply into a whole lot of skin with a razor sharp knife. OK, well what do you say we, uh, we take that bandage off and have a look at how you're healing. OK? All right So we'll, uh, we'll do this on three, OK?. One! [rips of bandage, causing Mark great pain] Two...three...Um. OK, well, let's see here. Well, that's, that's healing very, very nicely, I'm pleased. OK, well I'm going to monitor this...

Mark: [examining his scar] Hey! What the hell is this?

Dave: Oh, that's the incisions from the operation. Remember, we were just talking about it.

Mark: It's a swastika.

Dave: Hmmm. You know, you're right, it does look just a little bit like a swastika.

Mark: It looks exactly like a swastika.

Dave: Yes, it looks exactly...is that a problem for you?

Mark: Yes, that's a problem for me, I've got a symbol of hate on my stomach!

Everyone has that scar on his forehead. Look around the next time you're on the train. We all have one. Mine's from a brick fireplace. Not minimizing, but once you look around, it's kinda funny.

See, I knew everyone was going for the forehead scars, so I dodged a few inches when the table came crashing down on my face.

Lip scars ftw. Forehead scars are for posers.
