Ah, McCain, living up to everything I said you were right before the 2008 campaign.

Next he'll bash Reid for being a serial adulterer who married into money, and lived his whole life on government health care.

Harry Reid is too old to be in Congress, and I bet he's never seen the insides of an intertube.

"Harry Reid has been in the Senate for decades, so he's clearly got to go."

I like the bit about Breitbart. Many of us decried ABC hiring Breitbart because he is a liar who distorts and invents for his own purposes.

ABC says:

"Mr Breitbart is not an ABC News analyst. He is not an ABC News consultant. He is not, in any way, affiliated with ABC News. He is not being paid by ABC News. He has not been asked to analyse the results of the election for ABC News. Mr Breitbart will not be a part of the ABC News broadcast coverage ... He has been invited as one of several guests."

So apparently, Breitbart even lied about that too.

Reid is another politician that you would think the Nopublicans and teabaggers would love. He's the poster child for bootstrappy, much more than McCain or Palin could ever imagine. He came from abject poverty to where is today, and bootstrapped himself all the way. At least Lincoln would be proud of him.

You are just saying stupid.

I don't know if you realize this but the senate majority leader doesn't get his own White House.

Senators and Representatives pay for their own digs. That's why they complain about having to keep two residences, one in their home state and one in Washington. Lobbyists, however, have corporations to pay for theirs.

Guilty, as charged.

"Reid purchased his condo at the Ritz-Carlton, which is now valued at $1 million, and paid $750,000 in cash for the property in 2001, according to property assessment records. As Senate majority leader, Reid's annual income is $193,400." (new window)

Also a 750k condo really isn't that expensive as far as things in that location go. I've seem cookie cutter homes go for about that in the 'burbs back in the early 2000s. So he got something on the nicer side but he is a freaking Senator so big deal.

Leadership (in both the House and Senate) give themselves so many perks, I just forgot that this was one that even they haven't tried to sneak past the taxpayers yet.

In simpler terms, I made an assumption and assumed wrong. Error on my part and made even more embarrassing by the fact that, as I said, I did have the information squirreled away in one of the dust laden corners of my mind.

I thought that when folks worked hard, and earned their money, that it was their right and privilege to buy cool stuff? I thought that when folks got more money, that meant that God loved them more?

Or is that only preachers and AEI Fellows? I get confused easily though. Attacking someone who didn't marry his money might not be the best thing to do though. Don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge McCain for the money he married into, but when you marry into a beer fortune, maybe you shouldn't bash a guy who earned his cash.

Well, that and tried to choke a biatch who tried to bribe him. Even if you don't like Reid or his politics, you have to admit that is an awesome story.
