MrBigglesworth: Obama, I am dissapoint. You talked of Unity, but only when it serves your own ends.

He didn't talk of unity, he talked of cooperation.

Which problems did the GOP bring up that Obama didn't try to address?

nmiguy: The president then went on to say "The American family has been thirsty for reform and we're going to let them drink their fill, the Republicans are thirsty too, but we're going to make sure they get their fill, only we have separate water fountains for them."

And in a similar theme...Obama v. McCain, the U.S. decided that it was okay for the government to have voting booths for Democrats on election day, and for Republicans on the day after election day as, on their face, they were seperate but equal.

Calmamity: Yeah yeah, I get it.

Guess what? You fu*ked it up. You fu*ked it up very badly. For you to have the gall to say that it is somehow improper to call you out on fu*king up this country is offensive and wrong.

Go sit down and think of what you've done.

More jobs created in 18 months than Bush's eight years. The stimulus stopped the hemorrhaging.

The start of healthcare reform has been initiated, and while not perfect, is the largest step towards real reform we've had in decades.

An equal pay act.

Credit card reforms.

But yes, a complete failure, we should vote him out this November.

yeah darn that b b b bush and keeping unemployment under 5%% DAMN HIM!

I don't want to hear "B-b-b-but Barry" when he is no longer president.

And what was unemployment when Bush was done?

It is our government's complete failure to actually do their jobs for the people over the last 30 years that got us to this point.

Just blaming Bush or Obama or Clinton or Reagan is a convenient scapegoat that prevents us from addressing the systematic dysfunction that pervades every level of governance throughout our country.

That would totaly make it...so much more...moar.

"we can't have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back."

I see no problem with this. The government can help rich people get richer when the economy is better for everyone. Until then, help or STFU.

That Obama is getting waay too uppity. Everybody knows that Blacks ride in back. He's just an agitator. Everything was fine till he took over. The budget was balanced, no deficit, no wars, low unemployment. Then he came along and everything went to heck in a handbasket.

Mordant: zefal: 37% approval rating for obama!! I guess people finally figured out that all that "free" money the democrats are handing out comes with a big tax bill that is 3 times the cost of the free money you get. Loan sharks are green with envy.

I love the smell given off by a leftist idiot as they are steadily vaporized by reality.

Let me guess, you're a small business owner who makes more than $250k/year and you've had to lay off at least half of your employees due to the stifling tax increases you've seen under Obama ?

I'm a small business owner who makes more than $250k/year and i shut down my company in order to avoid paying a few percent more in taxes on the margin above $250k. I used our front end loader to destroy the access road leading to my business because otherwise when i went bankrupt the government would take it over, and i can't give a gift like that to our new socialist gov't. I demolished the office too, burned perfectly good materials and computers, their molten remains pouring into the local water table. All because these liberals had to destroy America. With the access road gone, many other businesses will languish for lack of customers until they can bootstrap themselves a new drive. Just finished dousing the loader with diesel fuel and oil, it should burn for days...

Thanks a lot Obama.

For clarification:

"we can't have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back."

"Sit in back" = Republicans are little whining temper tantrum-throwing children. That's where you put such children, in the back of the car, so they don't distract the driver.

"The bus" = Obama did not say anything about "sitting in the back of the bus." Stop being a disingenuous aresehole by implying that that's what he meant.

Don't like Obama's analogy? Call your representatives in Washington and tell them to learn to do their farking jobs instead of screaming like little petulant children in order to distract you from noticing that they don't know how to do the jobs you elected them to do.

Personally, I try to elect people who are knowledgable about the positions they are running for, not the guy with the catchiest soundbites who is wearing the sports team jersey I like. If you aren't going to do your homework and vote for people who know how to do the job they are auditioning to get, and instead vote for your favorite sports team or the most flamboyant kook, maybe you shouldn't be involved in the political process. Just stay on the sidelines, paint your face and wave around a big foam finger or something.

I would. You have to be a drooling class imbecile to find anything other than standard partisan red meat in the wrap up of Obama's 'they put the car in the ditch' speech:
"we can't have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back."

Getting butthurt and whining about the race card in response to that takes a special type of persecution complex.

lol, the current administration fixed something, that's rich. Under employment (which is worse than unemployment) is still a major issue and has been since the Clinton years and probably Bush Sr. Current Administration's only solution is to make more wasteful programs, throw more money away (or run up more credit) and choke us all with higher taxes. Not saying republicans would do any different, just in a different way. Only stating the current administration _hasn't_ done anything.

Only potential saving grace will be if they do silently sneak in the bill which will snatch and grab the profit off homes down the road off all those assholes who got liar loans and were able to walk away from their obligations due to legislation from the current administration.
