2 pounds of pot found floating in river

Police estimated the street value of the marijuana at about $2,000

You mean police actually got the street value of pot correct for once? Absolutely shocking.

What kid has enough money to buy two pounds of weed?

Police estimated the street value of the marijuana at about $2,000

You mean police actually got the street value of pot correct for once? Absolutely shocking.

"It was not high-quality marijuana, and could have been part of a drug rip," Lawrence police Chief John Romero said. "Possibly some parent found it in their kid's room and wanted to get rid of it."

It was the discarded stems and trimmed leaves from a marijuana growing operation.

Well shiat, I came here to say the same thing and then looked up right before I commented. So yeah, what you said.

It would be farking awesome if you could sell a garbage bag of that shiat for $2k tho.

Did anyone do the cop math on this yet?

One baggie = $18,000?

This is how "street smart" your average cop is... they think some suburban masshole kid has a 2lb stash.

Gahhhhhhh! Now that song is stuck in my head!

If one baggie = 9 LB of herb than yes, Your math would be correct - unless my comprehension is off. Or, $62.50/OZ... Is this article from 1985 or was it just some mexican brick?

/A trash bag seems like overkill for 2 lbs of mersh - unless it was a small bag.
//Not that I would be versed on these types of things.

If I join up with one of those watershed-keeping-clean volunteer groups and keep my stash in an old black trash bag, I always have plausible deniability?

Haha, cute. You had a funny and you were so excited to share that you went too fast and made a mess of it. My kid does the same thing with knock-knock jokes.

Retrieving the 1 pound of marijuana was quite a task for the cops

2010-10-20 08:59:31 AM
If the cops hadn't spotted it in the river, once again we'd have tea in Boston Harbor.

SwiftFox: Macular Degenerate: It was the discarded stems and trimmed leaves from a marijuana growing operation.

Even if it was just trimming, any smart grower would know to keep it and make hash from it by using a screen.

That would be my luck though, I'd find a bag of brick weed instead of anything decent.

I doubt that some teenager would have that much pot hidden in his room

uh yeah. if i needed to buy weed today i would definitely try and get it from a highschool kid - especially swag.

it was WAY easier to get weed than beer for us as kids. this is just one reason why i think they would legalize it if they were truly serious about keeping kids from doing drugs.

This is what your average drug-using kid has in his sock drawer, according to your local police:
