The new olds are in early this year...

One of the chicago papers had a where are they now for the locals that were featured in the Blues Brothers. The street where the Blues Festival was filmed, was an actual event in Chicago. Apparently, they did urban renewal and upscale the shiat out of the place. The festival is no longer there... :(

The mall, which has been vacant for more than 30 years, served as a filming location for the mall car chase scene in "The Blues Brothers."

That sure says something about the economy.

fta Local officials have expressed hopes of replacing the Dixie Square Mall with a new shopping center, but no plans have been finalized.

Like my mother inlaw says, "Hope in one hand and shiat in the other. See which one fills up first."

The place where they play both kinds of music -- country and western -- is long gone -- it was a set on the Universal Studios lot. (source)
