He's a weenie!
2001-10-11 09:02:09 AM
He's a smartass but is occasionally kinda funny.
2001-10-11 09:04:01 AM
Can you spell S.A.T.I.R.E ??
2001-10-11 09:11:19 AM
2001-10-11 09:12:56 AM
Hey, bugger_all it's not satire. It was a real interview.
2001-10-11 09:15:33 AM
I don't understand what everyone's problem is with this guy. I think he's hillarious. I guess we just have the same sense of humor. *shrug*
2001-10-11 09:16:55 AM
Teraputic sponge baths BWAHAHAHAHA... Wheaton is the anti-Shatner, and you gotta like him for that. He's still kinda of high on the queer bait factor though.
2001-10-11 09:17:50 AM
make that "theraputic" (more coffee....more coffee)
2001-10-11 09:22:01 AM
That's Eudora up on his screen not Mozilla.
2001-10-11 09:37:24 AM
I think self-depricating humor is the best kind. It doesn't piss off all of the PC liberal weenies.
2001-10-11 09:41:16 AM
"like a camwhore without the wish list..."
That's smart-assed enough. Wil can live.
2001-10-11 09:41:38 AM
OK, Wil Wheaton can live, but I still want to see Wesley Crusher die, horribly and slowly. Can we get a special ST:NG episode just devoted to Wesley dying? Please!!
2001-10-11 09:42:39 AM
Come on!! Beverley Crusher was so not hot.
2001-10-11 09:42:44 AM
He's using Eudora in sponsored mode.
2001-10-11 09:50:56 AM
"Come on!! Beverley Crusher was so not hot."

More of a Troi guy eh? :-P
2001-10-11 09:51:08 AM
2001-10-11 09:58:01 AM
Wil Wheaton == good.
Wesley Crusher == bad.
2001-10-11 09:58:03 AM
Beverly Crusher was a mint hottie!!

Gates McFadden is far better looking than Miriana Sirtis.

And I think Wil Wheaton is funny, too, but then I have a rather odd sense of humor...
2001-10-11 09:59:38 AM
Blumf, you called it. Troi was the hottie if you ask me. 8)
2001-10-11 10:00:33 AM
Gumpus: Put down yer fazer boy, real slowly...
Briggsb<b/: Ack, the horror, the horror

I saw Willy Wheat perform in Flubber. That summarizes it...
2001-10-11 10:02:34 AM
You know you read to much Fark when: you think Wil Wheaton is a cool guy. If I saw him on the street, I'd definitely shake his hand.
2001-10-11 10:04:23 AM
I'm with Prolauk.
I couldn't stand Wesley Crusher. Everything about him was annoying, from his impossible intelligence, saccharine goody-two-shoesitude to his stupid trancendental exit from the show.
I often wondered if Wil hated Wesley as much as I did.
2001-10-11 10:04:33 AM
get it together, guys... i mean, troi might have been a cockney scrubber, but really... there's no competition...

[image from too old to be available]

which one d'you want? Granny crusher? or Deanna "i'm sensing something big" Troi..?
2001-10-11 10:08:16 AM
I used to have a mad crush on Wil when he was in Stand by Me. Of course, when I was that age, I think I had a crush on everyone. No offense, Wil.
2001-10-11 10:08:20 AM
Crusher. Definitely. The red hair just does it for me I guess
2001-10-11 10:09:21 AM
I'll take the original security officer...can't remember her name, though...

2001-10-11 10:12:27 AM
Wil is just another Hollywood wash-up tryin' to make a come back with any means necessary..
2001-10-11 10:16:33 AM
OK place your votes now!

A) Beverly Crusher (Cheryl Gates McFadden)
B) Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis)
C) Natasha Yar (Denise Crosby)
D) All of above + lube
2001-10-11 10:16:34 AM
Am I the only non-Trekkie on Fark? I feel so, so isolated. And normal.
2001-10-11 10:19:35 AM
Well, with option D there I would certainly choose that!!
2001-10-11 10:19:58 AM
No I don't like it either. Although Enterprise isn't half bad. My wife's a big trek nut tho
2001-10-11 10:31:59 AM
Referring to his computer: "Put it this way: when it was built, it was hot, like Jolene Blalock. Now, it's more like Teri Hatcher: hot in it's day, but now it's just sad."

HAHAAAAAAAAAAAA! I know the feeling, so very true.
2001-10-11 10:32:21 AM
Alright, then Blumf...

2001-10-11 10:33:50 AM
Only a fool wouldn't choose option D. Option B is the second choice for me. But to hell with Star Trek, give me Aeryn Sun, Chiana, and Zhaan. Hell, even Joolushko is kinda hot in that annoying little sister kind of way.
2001-10-11 10:39:11 AM
Yaaaay! :-)
2001-10-11 10:39:43 AM
I believe I'd get along smashingly with Wil.

But if I get a Wesley vibe for even a second, I'm punching him in the forehead.

Oh, and Dr. Crusher. No contest.
2001-10-11 10:39:48 AM
The poll doesn't lie!
2001-10-11 10:43:19 AM
no votes for Crusher...

... what did i tell you...
2001-10-11 10:45:43 AM
I'm with you, Bigpeeler. Not a Trekkie, never habe been, never will be. On the other hand, I could go on for hours about why B5 was a far superior series. But I don't wanna start a scifi holy war. ;)
2001-10-11 10:50:57 AM
I think they all need a probe.

Can't we just line 'em up and schedule some taste-testing?
2001-10-11 10:52:35 AM
non-trekkie here too.
I've seen a little here and there, but, shrug. Who cares...

I was a medium-ish fan of Star Wars until someone I know completely overloaded on it and got me temporarily sick of it.

Any media concoction starting with "star" doesn't exactly rule my life. :)
2001-10-11 11:04:57 AM
Damn, Drew - did you marry my ex-wife? Got her into ST when we were married ... 5'2" ... red hair ... fiery temper... nice funbags... miss that woman....

I loved TNG & original, tolerated DS9, saw only a handful of Voyager (no UPN stations nearby), and have yet to see any of Enterprise....
2001-10-11 11:06:20 AM
"Put it this way: when it was built, it was hot, like Jolene Blalock. Now, it's more like Teri Hatcher: hot in it's day, but now it's just sad."

If that was spontaneous, gotta admit, he knows how to turn a phrase.
2001-10-11 11:22:22 AM
Anyone see the Playboy with Denise Crosby? See-through raincoat. Ahhhhh.
2001-10-11 11:24:04 AM
I'm sorry, but Gates Mcfadden is a hottie. I think it's probably her perky boobies that do it for me though. The red hair too. Of course, Marina Sirtis is hot too. Denise Crosby wasn't too fantastic, I don't think. Hair a little too short. Although she did appear topless in a few movies, as I recall, which gives her bonus points.
2001-10-11 11:25:05 AM
Enterprise=The Next Generation+SeaQuest...I hate it. I mean come on, SCOTT BAKULA?!
2001-10-11 12:03:12 PM
The advantage of Miriana Sirtis is her track record in various "erotic" films.
2001-10-11 12:09:13 PM
Non-trekkie here too. But my husband is into it big time.
