Billy - interesting discussion from you...seems you aren't a troll in the sadistic sense (i'm probably wrong, i give people a decent amount of leeway in that area), but i still have to say that i support the ACLU. they have a slight agenda against the 2nd amendment (although i dont really know either way about this, heh), but they do a good job of pouring over laws such as this one and telling us they suck. really, they do.

and, someone brought benjamin out of the woodwork! wheres cyberpunk when you need him, hehehe :P

Sgamer: The ACLU through default has apponted themselves "selective" defenders of the USC. I have no objectiion to this but there lack of acknoledging it. I wary of anyone or group who thinks they know better than I or my own interests. I agree and disagree with a lot of things, so be it as I'm sure you don't care.
For my 2 cents (I'm a long winded bastard) the only bad laws are laws proposed and acted on withour discussion or slipped in some damn bloated bill by lobbyists and special interests groups for their own purposes.
The next great legislative experiment we should do is term limits, inclusion of lawmakers into the Social Security system (No private pensions) and sunset laws future and retroactivally. That should stir the shi*at pile.
Also hugging anything won't bring anybody back. The lesson learned is to hug them now.

UFark Take counsel of your fears

We are all in this together and we will get through it together. I'm no liberal but would become one if your ideas were the norm. Also Houston is filled with twenty thousamd plus Arab Americans. Many Maronites (Christian). If you think rounding up will suceed and ease your concerns, then get started. Let me know how it goes.
