I think this could be fun... I'll have to see if I can go with any other farkers from Philly... Have to check flights I guess.

What airport would I want to fly in to, and would someone be able to pick up farkers that arrive around the same time?

Most decent hotels have a shuttle form the airport in NO. If not, there are cheap shuttles that wil take you down to the action.
Spent a new years on Bourbon St., aftet watching Texas get rocked by Virgina Tech in the Sugar Bowl. Almost got my butt kicked by a buch of Hoakies.

Will probably go, there is much trouble to be had there. I remeber dragging a friend down the streets that was so drunk he seriously asked us to just leave him. Guy got in in the Cab and I had to bribe to cabby so he wouldn't call the cops. Ahhhh... the memories.

New Orleans International Airport is in Kenner, that's where to fly into. We may need to make a trip to the airport to pick up some people, shouldn't be too big of a problem. Go ahead and sign up, pay the money, and order your plane tickets. Once we've collected all the money and have a decent list of people attending, we'll work out the details. We'll make a list of cell phone numbers, addresses, pick up times, directions, important info, etc... Probably pass out a sheet to everyone upon check in with all this information on it.

is $100 a frim price then? I don't want to plunk down the cash and find out you underestimated and need more... a couple of times even..

I assume you overestimated since you mentioned the extra $$ for beer... Things will get ugly if the rooms don't fit 20 people and the price jumps up...

You can expect my money at the beginning of november, since that's when i get paid, and i've already made my frivolous purchase for the month... My birthday is on the 8th so i was thinking we might be able to go and get a beer maybee... It's just a thought...

Mandrax - I'd drive from Maine for a get-together in Red Bank. Of course, I'm a big Kevin smith fan, so...

Oh, and Walken is cool and all, but he's no Dennis Leary...

If the room has not been reserved as of yet forget about getting one now. The hotels on Bourbon st. are usually all booked up by this time.
2001-10-11 03:13:55 PM
Hagbard: We'd have to get a mini bus or something, because there are a lot of Detroit farkers who'd take you up on that, like me...
2001-10-11 03:20:13 PM
There are still rooms available if everyone would pay up now... Worst case scenero, we party at my friends house or my apartment

We also know a guy with an apartment on Royal, one street over

The hotel wouldn't be on Bourbon anyways, probably on Canal or near the quarter

2001-10-11 09:17:43 PM

2001-10-11 09:45:29 PM

2001-10-12 08:38:30 AM
Hey I live around the corner from the Quarter so if $$$ is the only thing preventing any pretty ladies from attending I am sure I can make something happen. but you would have to be herb friendly and into music.
2001-10-12 08:41:37 AM
ID checking is pretty lax in the Quarter, especially for females. But this is my first Mardi Gras so we shall see. Also what part of San Jose? I am from the East Side (between Alum ROck and Mckee )
