Police say the 2-year-old was just inches away from a cement planter that would have killed her.

Cement planters are associated with high mortartality rates.

The whole body CAT scan the ER gave her probably did more damage to her than the fall.

As the proud owner? recipient? father of a 2 yr old, this stuff really hits home, or apartment

2010-09-16 04:36:39 PM
when I was a teen, my 1 year old brother fell off the deck (someone left the gate open) and landed on the grass. if he fell the other way, he would have landed on garbage cans and cement, if he landed about 4 inches further on the grass, he would have hit a large rock path. he broke his leg, but man.. I still get shivers thinking about what *could* have happened.

It must suck tibia kid these days. Her friends will rib her for days over a dumb move like that. The news offered a lot of money for the story but the parents will sternum down.

This was Divine Intervention! You know what "divine intervention" is?

Yeah, I think so. That means God came down from Heaven and stopped the bullets.

Yeah, man, that's what it means. That's exactly what it means! God came down from Heaven and stopped the bullets.

I think we should be going now.

Don't do that! Don't you farking do that! Don't blow this shiat off! What just happened was a farking miracle!

Chill the fark out, Jules, this shiat happens.

Wrong! Wrong, this shiat doesn't just happen.

Do you wanna continue this theological discussion in the car, or at the jailhouse with the cops?

We should be farkin' dead now, my friend! We just witnessed a miracle, and I want you to farking acknowledge it!

Okay man, it was a miracle, can we leave now?

*Slow clap.*

I was boring as a kid (still am, but for different reasons), but my husband succeeded in breaking damn near everything by the time he hit his teens. He once recalled to me the time that he fell out of the tree in front of his house and broke his arm so badly that his wrist touched his elbow. Every time I try to imagine that I feel the need to curl up in a ball and whimper in sympathetic pain.

Good thing that planter didn't kill her. That would have been even WORSE than if she was killed by falling on the planter!

It would be easy for the parents to put up a small rail or two that would prevent this but its easier to biatch about it and make it someone elses problem. Im sure they plan on suing the property owner.

To bad she's only 2.
Doubt she learned not to lean against screened windows. Especially if they're 9 stories up.

Sometimes lessons can be painful.
The pain part actually helps stupid people learn.

I agree with you, but the property owner would be wise to protect themselves, especially if they have reason to think they aren't exactly renting to MIT graduates.

Just popped in to make sure the Clapton jokes were taken care of. Good job, Fark.

While on topic, might as well bring up my favourite Halloween costume idea of all time (not mine, just read about online):

Walk around with a large window frame hanging around you. Ta-da, you're Eric Clapton's son.
