He probably made it all the way from Cuba on a block of foam and this is how he meets his end.

"Only in Florida does someone drown while mowing the grass, again."

yearly thing, sometimes several times a year.

Few years ago we had a guy roll down into the water, cut off his hand, get attacked by alligators and then spent time in the hospital with flesh eater... and that was just a push mower.

News of the Weird doesn't report on this crap anymore.

Published September 04, 2010 - Associated Press LAKEVILLE, Mass. - A Massachusetts golf course groundskeeper who drove a lawn mower into a water hazard and got stuck under it has drowned.

Authorities say Greg Misodoulakis was killed Friday after becoming trapped by the lawn mower in five feet of water at an 18-hole course in Lakeville, 40 miles north of Boston.

A co-owner at the Back Nine Club says nobody saw the 18-year-old groundskeeper drive into the manmade hazard.

Plymouth district attorney's office spokeswoman Bridget Norton Middleton says the teenager was pulled from the water after about 20 minutes. She says it appears to be an accidental drowning.

The 18-year-old was a freshman at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

A groundskeeper at a Plainsboro, N.J., golf course survived a similar accident Aug. 23 when rescuers used a backhoe and chains to pull a lawn mower off him.

8/19/2010 - WEST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. - THE PITTSBURGH CHANNEL.com

The Indiana County coroner is expected to perform an autopsy on Thursday on a 64-year-old man who drowned after an accident involving a lawn mower.

According to a news release from the coroner's office, Joseph Sisitki was mowing between two settling ponds at the Tri-Community Sewer Authority Waste-Water Treatment plant in West Wheatfield Township.

Sisitki apparently lost control of the mower and drove into one of the ponds, Coroner Michael Baker said in a news release.

Family members became concerned when the victim didn't return home as expected and when they went searching for Sisitki, they found his body partially submerged in the pond, Baker said.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also investigating the case.

Funeral arrangements for Sisitki will be handled by the J. Paul McCracken Funeral Home in Bolivar.

A Rowan County, North Carolina man was killed Monday in a mowing accident, the sheriff's office says.

Genovevo Garcia, 53, of Cleveland, died when the mower he was operating slid into a farm pond and overturned on the man. Garcia was trapped under the tractor in the water for nearly a half-hour, according to police reports.

Investigators say Garcia was mowing the grass on a farm owned by William Russell, in the 1200 block of Phifer Road. Sometime around 11:15 a.m., while mowing at the edge of a pond, Garcia apparently lost control of the vehicle, and it tipped into the water.

Authorities say Russell, who was nearby, tried to pull the tractor off the victim but was unsuccessful. Firefighters arrived a short time later and finally pulled Garcia free after about 25 minutes.

He was taken to a Statesville hospital but was declared dead, an apparent drowning victim.

The Poles have flipped! Lakeville is now north of Boston!

I blame it on Post-Nazi-Invasion Disorder.

Riding mowers issued restraining orders to stay away from bodies of water.
