mjoven1975: Damn, Michael Bush is out for the Raiders today.

That Titans defense is looking like a good play today. All my fantasy teams are set. The only pick that was hard was going with Ryan Grant against the Iggles over Forte against the Lions. Forte burned me too much last year to even trust him against Detroit.

I'm curious to see what the Jags do this year after the huge overhaul of the team..

And no, they're NOT going to be the first to go tits-up financially; unlike a few other teams, they've actually got games this year that are not blacked out.

Hey aquigly, I heard your show on WGN 720 yesterday morning while heading to work. Who was that hack political blogger broad you had on; she seemed pretty clueless to me.

Way to steal all the Fark jokes for the radio too, lol. Mentioning "The Final Countdown"? Were you trying to get TMLO to call in or something? Lawllllls

Have to work for the first hour of the early games, then probably hitting the bar to catch the Raiders game (today is my splurge day on my diet and I plan on taking full advantage of that)

I will be in the thread fo sho during the Cowboys/Redskins game. So I'm hoping that has plenty of lulz.

When is he on the air? I thought he was just doing sports news or something for WGN. At his previous gig at Q101 I caught a portion of him yammering on about something or other and I changed the station because the reason why I was changing stations was to avoid commercials and DJs yammering on.

Not sure why you were clueless as to who he was, but losing him was a pretty big deal. He's a pretty good corner and he was coming into his second year in this system. I had pretty good hopes for our secondary. I still think they're alright but they'll look silly if the Pats can't get any pressure on the quarterback.

McManus_brothers: Go Pack! Kick the Iggles' ass! Who is this Kolb schmuck?

2nd round pick in the 2007 draft by the Eagles, from Houston. Started two games in 2009, holds the distinction of being the first QB to ever throw for 300 yards in his first two career starts.
(yes I'm just being a putz here, but I had to say it anyway)

Anyway, as an Eagles fan, I'm not worried about Kolb. I'm worried about the O-Line and the secondary. Given that I have the Pack as my pre-season favorites to go to and possibly win the Super Bowl, this should be a test of just how much the off-season work the Eagles have put into their team has paid off.

with Suh on their roster, and a guy like Stafford who may be a bonafide badass (seriously, came off the bench with a dislocated shoulder to throw a game-winning TD... you don't get much more badass than that unless your name is Jack Youngblood), they have a right to have a little bit of pride in their team again.

it is hard to argue with the quality of their receiving corps. Boldin should add a lot to their offense.

Oh I agree. Not to mention that the Bears look like they're in trouble this year, so this is a very winnable game for Det. It's just...odd to see.

If Browns fans start acting up too I may have to go lay down for a few minutes.

After finally having a winning season last year (9-7! Woo!) "it's about time all those premium draft choices" actually did something.

Also, not having Steve Slaton carrying the ball in goal line situations has to be worth at least two wins, right?
