Dolphins, Bears, Raiders, Bengals, Giants, Steelers, Texans, Rams, Eagles, 49ers, Cowboys (no risking pissing off Di).

/not predictions, just hopes

Have either 49ers or Saints fans lost the hate yet? For some farked up reason, I find myself rooting for the Whiners (heh, couldn't resist) unless it's next week or any game that has bearing on the Saints. You guys have been punished enough.

It's been 8 years. I gotta tell you, I'm over it.

/never, ever, ever thought that I'd live long enough to say that
//yet here we are
///last division game I can recall was something like 29-28 SF, and I almost got fired for screaming "FAAAAAAAARK" all around this very nice restaurant

Well, one of my best friends is a Niners fan...and I hope on the 20th the Saints beat the shiat out of his boys. Embarrassing a Singletary D would be very nice.

But to answer your question, no, I was a season late for the NFC West rivalries and festivities. NFC South 4 lyfe.

As a resident of Colorado, I'm going to claim that the drafting of Tebow will ruin the Broncos' season this year. The fans here are way to jumpy, and they'll call for his starting at the first Denver loss. He won't be ready, and the season will be full of losses.

It's time for NFL fans to face reality: Blackouts are a strong possibility in local TV markets for a dozen NFL teams, including Cincinnati.

Blackouts may sell a few tickets but it's hard to believe the ticket sales can make up for the loss in tv ad revenues.

Which will be the first franchise to go bankrupt?

I hope for their sake that he does get tired holding the clipboard all year. He should hold the clipboard all year. I just think that Denver fans will be too impatient to wait for the right time to start him.

The Bears have a very good chance of losing to my Lions today.

Especially if Martz continues to insist Cutler take 5 and 7 step drops. The Bears line ain't that good, and Detroit's d-line is nasty.

Bears fans who think they will even finish .500 this year are delusional at best, criminally insane at worst.

Martz and Marenelli as coordinators? Really?

Congratulations! Your Gay Meter has leveled up; you have achieved the rank of "Sean Hayes." Five points will be added to your Mincing skill; you may select a new talent from the following list: Outlet Shopper, Liza Devotee or Polo Shirt Sleeve Shortener.

Okay, fantasy time. Two WR, one WR/TE and one WR/RB. Brandon Marshall, Miles Austin, Chad Ochocinco and Steven Jackson are in the lineup right now. Are any of those worth replacing with Santana Moss, Marion Barber, or CJ Spiller?

Brandon Marshall: Should start him, even with Henne passing and his ankle injury. It's against the Bills.
Miles Austin: Lock him as a starter. Don't even think of taking him off a starting position this year. Unless Kim Kardashian gives him the herp.
85: Start him, lock him. Pats DBs blow (I'm a Pats fan) and they can't double-cover him with TO on the other side of the field. This is gonna be a 35-32 kinda score.
Steven Jackson: Looking to prove he doesn't suck, but is against the Cardinals, who will be a better D then most people think. Keep him as a starter this year until he gets hurt/another options surfaces on the Rams' depth chart. He will be the Rookie QB's safety blanket on passing downs, too.
Santana Moss: Sleeper, got 92 yards last year against the 'boys with Cambpell QBing. Should be better this year, but your other WRSs are too good... unless Marshall gets scratched for some reason.
Barber: Still splitting carries, but he did put up nice numbers against the 'Skins last year. Wouldn't start him over Jackson.
Spiller: Splitting carries to ease him into the system, but should do well, not worth starting... yet.

My newspaper this morning:

THREE TEAMS READY TO EXPLODE

1. New York Jets
Cites return of Rex Ryan and Rick Sanchez, acquisition of LT, Santonio Holmes and others.

2. Dallas Cowboys
Spends two paragraphs talking them down: difficult schedule, their bad track record in the past 12 years. Then talks about their good offense and "unblockable" DeMarcus Ware.

3. Houston Texans
After finally having a winning season last year (9-7! Woo!) "it's about time all those premium draft choices" actually did something.

THREE TEAMS PRIMED FOR A MELTDOWN

1. Minnesota Vikings
Favre's bad karma, injured players, Adrian Peterson's fumblelitis.

2. San Deigo Chargers
Alienated their three best players by not offering long-term contracts.

3. Pittsburg Steelers
Big Ben's suspension, road weeks upon his return, then home against Pats.

If nothing else, there is reason to hope in Raider Nation because JaMarcus Russell is long gone. Breaking the dreadful double digit loss streak is priority #1, followed by putting a pounding on the new look (re: crappier) Chargers. Accomplish those two goals and anything else beyond that in 2010 is gravy.
