In the announcement, the two students expressed sorrow for their actionsgetting caught, although they did not go into specifics.

In the 2008-09 school year, it had a 98 percent graduation rate, 11 percentage points higher than the county's, and just 1 percent of its students didn't go on to college.

So, 1% (roughly 21 kids) didn't graduate, but still went to college? I know this can happen, but that seems like a bit much.

They probably count any post secondary education as "college" so if any of those kids go to a vocational school they went to "college"

/or those stats (like 55% of all statistics) are made up

No, it's saying 1% of the 98% who graduated. Those 21 *did* graduate high school but didn't go to college.
