Terriers are my very favourite breed
They're cute and cuddly, easy dogs to feed
They will bring you up whenever you are down
Terriers average 20 pounds

My son starts singing that song every time he sees an ad for this show.

I dogsat a rat terrier puppy this past weekend, so i haz a sad now that it's gone.

The owner said it was a chihuahua. WTF is wrong with her?

Oh, and I like Donal Logue (sp?).

It looks like it's worth a shot. I like Donal Logue and it's exec produced by Shawn Ryan, so that's promising. I've got the DVR set for one episode, we'll see how it goes.

2010-09-08 01:52:02 PM
I'll give it a shot just because of the people in it.

Those promos are pretty bad, though.

"I'll jump down turn around and pick a bale of cotton if you pay me." That's your great line? That's the line you choose to represent your show? Huh.

I don't get FX so I'll have to find someplace online to watch.

/The Shield kicked some serious, disturbed ass.

The promos are not helping it, however as stated be others. I'll watch it just because of the people attached to it.

wooo Donal Logue!

2010-09-08 02:30:23 PM
does it have dogs in it?

Looks promising.

On an unrelated note, I can't believe they killed off Deputy Hale on Sons.

I have a rat terrier/chihuahua mix. It looks like a full-blooded rat terrier until you look at its face.

God loves a terrier
yes he does
God loves a terrier

I hope it is good. I like Donal Logue, although we'll see how he holds up without Megyn Price by his side.

The eyes and ears were all wrong for a Chihuahua, even if a mix. And its behavior was pure rat terrier. Not vocal, interested in everything you do, smart, adaptable, affectionate, and loves other dogs.

Necessary plot point IMHO. The town belongs to Samcro, not the cops. Now the mayor candidate that was in league with the white power group is all alone and ripe for exploit.

True, though their hold seems to be slipping. However, he was the least corruptible person on the "good" side. Without Hale, it's bad guys, more bad guys, and complicit good guys.

You must not have seen enough previews for this season. Their hold on the town is unraveling very quickly. Last night hurt them a lot more than it helped.

srtpointman: He played the replacement Captain on Life, didn't he?

Yep, he was pretty good in the role. Even with the romantic subplot, it held together.

I should have expounded a little bit more. It was a necessary plot point to remove the only one thing that would have kept them at bay from exploiting the town to the breaking point.

Its hamlet on motorcycles, of course everyone has to die

FX has great shows with middling promos.

I avoided It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for way too long because of them.

FX is awesome with shows:
The Shield
Justified (WATCH THIS SHOW FFS)
Archer
IASiP
Sons of Anarchy
Louie
and some people enjoy stuff like Nip/Tuck, Damages.. (not me)

2010-09-08 03:32:02 PM
It's co-exec produced by Tim Minear. He's had his hand in some of the best (albeit, short-lived) shows in the last decade or so.

That's all you need, really. Donal Logue is just gravy.

2010-09-08 03:53:11 PM
I'm watching because of Donal Logue.

//Jimmy the cab driver rules.

DVR'd the pilot for the presence of Donal Logue. We'll see if it's actually any good.

The first half hour of the Louie season finale is one of the funniest TV shows in the history of the universe.

Almost forgot about those skits....funny shiat. But yeah, FX + Donal Logue = I'm in.

It has Shawn Ryan, the creator of The Shield, involved. That is enough to get me interested.

The Shield is seriously my favorite show of all time. It's just so damn good.

I'm pretty cynical about TV but I'm ready to give this a shot.

FX really does seem to bring the goods. Justified, Louie, Always Sunny are all brilliant right now.

The first season of Sons was terrific, but 2 was a bit of a letdown....sad to hear about Dpt Hale, his character evolution and back and forth with Jax were some of the best parts of that show.

Also in my top five (in random order):

The mom from "The George Lopez Show"

The mom from "The War at Home"

Both moms from "Modern Family"...especially Sofía Vergara. Even when she's yelling for her son she sounds hot. "Manny!"
