No, it's pretty much just yeast, salt and B vitamins. I lived in Perth in the mid-60's and I was the only one in my family that developed a taste for it.
When I discussed this with a group of Aussie's they said, "All you have to do to enjoy it is take some toast, and some butter and some cheese and maybe an egg, slap em all together and it's great!"
So basically all you have to do is bury it in good stuff and it's good.
This is protective, because the Australian fishes' spines will catch in your throat when you vomit their toxic masses. Don't you know, everything Down Under is out to kill you?
