That... actually is a pretty good one.

You gotta keep your head up

Wait, seriously? It wasnt "I wish I, or my wife, or someone had made sure my daughter didnt tragically die due to a treadmill wire accident?"

I mean... priorities I guess... weed with a guy who died is kinda cool too I suppose.

Yeah, I kind of think that would be first on my list too.

One of mine, too.

Yeah, I regret that I too, did not smoke pot with Tupac. Hell, I'd smoke pot with Snoop and I don't even smoke pot.

Hi, dude. First paragraph of the article: "(AP) When Mike Tyson looks back on his friendship with Tupac Shakur, he thinks about the rapper's big heart, explosive anger - and the one regret he has about their relationship."

It's all good. Smitty, a graduate of Drew's School of Advanced Trolling, went with what was 'true' and yet bait at the same time. His daughter has nothing to do with Tupac. And I agree with Winktologist, that is a 'good' regret.

I wish I'd joined in the circle with Clinton and Obama, myself.

Granted, I would have been an infant at the time. But I'd have still been down.

Don't want to snort any coke with G.W. (or the O'Bamster, for that matter), though. I bet he's a real nice guy if you're personal friends with him, but everyone's a dick on coke.

Yeah, I'd regret that, too. It's like knowing Jim Morrison from the Doors and never having a drink with him.

Feel me?

This is a guy whose IQ could fit in a matchbox BEFORE all those blows to the head. His real biggest regret is probably not hanging around more beauty pageants.

He never raped that girl. Y'all need to quit. And Tyson had women hanging over him before during and after Desiree Washington committed perjuries (plural).

I'd say when a woman was asking the women around her "How much do you think I can get out of the guy?" BEFORE a date that allegedly ended in rape, you are correct in questioning her integrity when it comes to any claims of rape.

/she said it
//lots of people heard her say it
///the judge decided it was immaterial

Did anyone watch the 30 for 30 last night? Very interesting. I've caught a few of them. It's a good series.

I love those but the one last night with the guy rapping gave me a headache. And Maya Angelou's story about telling Tupac not to swear sounded like bullshiat.

THIS

The 30 for 30 has been either amazing (the two escobar's) or pretty crappy (last night), none of them have left me with a "eh..good, not great" feeling.

Maybe it was the title but I thought there was going to be more on the actual night than that. It was mostly back story.

Haven't seen the one from "last night" yet (we don't get them for a few days in Canada). My favourites so far have been "Two Escobars" and "Run Ricky Run". My least favourites were "Silly Little Game" and "Kings Ransom", but that's probably because I already knew the stories. It's a great series though.

In the "good not great" category - Reggie Miller vs Spike Lee.

A little, but I do believe that one night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble.

Eh, that one just pissed me off. If that had been regular fan they would have been kicked out of the Garden and banned. Most people I know put the Two Escobars head and shoulders above the rest. I don't know the title but the story of the Kirkland little league team was my second favorite. Just how fame at an early age isn't always a good thing.

The series as a whole has been well done. Last night seemed a little forced, as in the connection between Tyson and Tupac. I don't think they were as intertwined as the documentary would have us believe.

"No Snitchin'" Suge Night came off looking awfully complicit in Tupac's murder.

Yeah, but he's not a "regular fan". Kind of like Jack. I don't mind guys who have season tickets to courtside seats being real fans of their team and using their celebrity status to actually make it matter. If I were in their shoes, I'd probably be as supportive/annoying (depending on your point of view).

Other 30 for 30s that I really enjoyed that slipped my mind earlier: The U, Without Bias and Straight Outta LA (I admit this one isn't great, but I'm a Raiders fan). No Crossover was interesting too because I never realized that there was some video footage of the Iverson bowling alley brawl before.

I've really enjoyed the series, but last night's was terrible. Maya Angelou's 20 minute story about the onion on her belt was probably the lamest part about it, but the entire video was an enormous piece of crap.

That said, I've thoroughly enjoyed every other presentation, and plan on watching all the rest. But last night's was awful.

I've been loving 30 for 30. No one has brought up "birth of big air" yet, but that was another fantastic episode.

Last nights was good. I'm in the camp that relates to mike tyson, though. I feel that emotionally the man never recieved support past Cus, stunting his growth. Not to mention losing the one guy who he shared a loving father/son type of bond with. I've seen enough of him (including the fantastic documentary "tyson") to fully believe that he's the most misunderstood guy in sports we've ever seen.

QFT. Additionally, he's strangely eloquent, even though hard to understand (because of his speech impediments) compared to most athletes, and fascinatingly intelligent, but I think that's his newly-found spiritual awareness that gives that impression.

The building up of the Mike Tyson myth --and the insane percentage of people that buy into it-- is one of the more interesting subjects in modern psychology.

based on research, i'm more inclined that people bought into the myth that he became post-1990. The real person is caught many times in the old videos of him as a teenager, and the honest interviews he gave both back then and recently. It was the period between his early 20's and a few years ago that he was mythic.

just my take...

Im also one of those people who doesn't believe Tyson raped Desire Washington. Horrible judge and horrible jury. But Tyson was his own worst enemy many times in his life. Like the time he took 100k cash instead of an extra 2 million too change promotions to Don King.

Apologies to hack, attention-whore Professor Michael Eric Dyson, but Mike Tyson is not "highly intelligent".

Tupac was pretty much a whiny biatch who got shot and now everyone (15 year old white boys who live in the suburbs) talks about him like he was some great philosopher and black Gandhi
