Jesus Christ. Do the movies this year suck? They might suck.

The Social Network is the only movie on that list that I'm excited about.

2010-09-05 11:40:18 PM
Meh on all that.

2010-09-05 11:46:55 PM
I'd sooner tear open my nut sack with a rusty gardening tool, stuff it with rock salt and sew it shut with dental floss before I watched any of that tripe.

2010-09-05 11:52:29 PM
Due Date might be worth it.

WhoIsPraetorian: The Social Network is the only movie on that list that I'm excited about.

The guy isn't even thirty and already has more money than %99.9999 of us. I don't need to contribute to the ongoing fellatio that life is giving him.

2010-09-06 12:05:48 AM
I'll probably watch Howl, but that's not a movie that loses anything outside the theatre.

2010-09-06 12:06:57 AM
No, no, no, no, maybe, no, no, no, no, no.

2010-09-06 12:08:21 AM
Harry Potter is a definite.
Might see Due Date, but I'll probably wait for word of mouth on that before I consider seeing it.

The previews lead me to believe that David Fincher is pretty ambivalent about Zuckerberg and his creation.

Kublai Khan: No, no, no, no, maybe, no, no, no, no, no.

So what's coming out next month? We usually get at least a couple of decent horror movies around Halloween, even if they're imports or remakes of imports...

2010-09-06 01:45:02 AM
That is one of the suckiest lists of movies I have ever seen. I was going to offer CitizenTed a rusty gardening tool and some dental floss, but now I'll have to humbly ask him for some rock salt.

/I'll get around to Harry's Pooter, only because I have seen all the others so far, and might as well grit my teeth and bear it for the ending -- which I shall NOT be watching in 3D come June.

A Frisky link? Really? Why not a Jezebel link while we're at it?

2010-09-06 02:53:47 AM
they release movies in the fall?

2010-09-06 03:59:35 AM
Wow, what a steaming pile of shiat coming out, and they wonder why no one goes to the movies anymore?

2010-09-06 04:06:16 AM
Only one I want to see is Harry Potter.

2010-09-06 04:07:17 AM
Baggins: Wow, what a steaming pile of shiat coming out, and they wonder why no one goes to the movies anymore?

Or is it any wonder lots of people wait, download, and watch them to see if it's even worth buying the DVD or BluRay?

The Downey Jr. one sounds like it has potential though.

CitizenTed: I'd sooner tear open my nut sack with a rusty gardening tool, stuff it with rock salt and sew it shut with dental floss before I watched any of that tripe.

Really? I mean, sure the movies look bad, but I'd rather watch a really shiatty movie than do that to my precious scrotum. Specially if it's minty floss. That shiat burns.

2010-09-06 04:21:05 AM
That's some mighty fine movie pickin' there Lou

2010-09-06 04:29:48 AM
I am going to see Harry Potter. However, I got excited in my girly parts when I discovered "Howl". I HAVE to see that.

Abstruse: So what's coming out next month? We usually get at least a couple of decent horror movies around Halloween, even if they're imports or remakes of imports...

I haven't heard of any. The last few years it's pretty much just been crappy Saw sequels.

2010-09-06 05:17:14 AM
Did they pass some law that said Zach Galifianakis has to be in at least 45% of all movies produced in the US?

2010-09-06 05:25:06 AM
Harry Potter, good, although I did not watch any of the others in the theater, but waited until later.

None of the others appealed to me in the slightest. Although the pic at the top made me stop and look.. not sure which movie it's from.

Alphax: Although the pic at the top made me stop and look.. not sure which movie it's from.

That's from "Easy A"...a high school rip on "The Scarlet Letter"

2010-09-06 05:52:44 AM
Harry Potter!!!!

2010-09-06 06:02:25 AM
Personally, I'm waiting for RED

2010-09-06 06:25:17 AM
I don't know what others think, I can't wait for Tron.

Freschel: I don't know what others think, I can't wait for Tron.

This. I was wondering why it wasn't mentioned in the article.

2010-09-06 06:35:53 AM
They missed "Paranormal Activity 2", and "Let Me In" which stars the actress who plays Hit Girl from "Kick-Ass". It's an American remake of "Let the Right One In", and so help me if they alter too much or leave out the excellent pool scene at the end I'll never watch another remake.

Out in December, I think.

Here's a thought: Just watch the original again instead.

2010-09-06 06:47:43 AM
I'd rather have a slideshow with real movies, thanks.

The Social Network?
Really? I'd rather stay home and watch paint dry.

And anyone getting excited over a movie just to see K. Bell dance should be dragged in the street and shot.

/tired of the burlesque hype, just get a farking stripper already

FTFA: 7. "Nowhere Boy"
Growing up in Liverpool and being fought over by his aunt and mother, John Lennon (Aaron Johnson) dreams of starting a rock band and finds a kindred spirit in a young Paul McCartney. You know how this one ends.

With a bang?

2010-09-06 07:22:00 AM
"The Frisky" is possibly the worst ever name for a website.

2010-09-06 07:22:24 AM
I'll make sure I don't see all of those.

2010-09-06 08:11:37 AM
Based on Kazuo Ishiguro's bestselling novel of the same name, this movie follows three children, Ruth (Keira Knightley), Kathy (Carey Mulligan) and Tommy, as they grow up in an English boarding school and come to terms with the love they feel for each other and the lives that await them.

Oh good, another farking British film about the upper classes. As a Brit, I'm farking tired of this shiat. Edgar Wright is about the only guy making films about normal British people.

2010-09-06 08:16:40 AM
So, apparently, Christina Aguilera is going to be keeping her gold boots movin'? Because it certainly sounds like a remake. Pity they removed The Haunted House, and replaced the Stacey Keach looking guy with Cher.

2010-09-06 08:18:07 AM
1. "The Romantics"

"A group of friends who call themselves "the romantics," because of their tendency to have incestuous relationships . . ."

Reads plot synopsis.

Sorely disappointed with the writer.

2010-09-06 08:23:58 AM
5$ says "Howl" will not actually include a reading of the text of "Howl".

CitizenTed:

What a coincidence, I think someone actually does that in an upcoming Eli Roth movie.

Oh, believe me, that movie won't be another "The Remains of the Day."

I won't go into exactly what happens, but it's set in a dystopian future, and let's say the fate that awaits these kids is not nice in the least.

Cheap shot.

four, actually.

Social Network? Sounds about as exciting as Zodiac. Zzzzzz. David Fincher what happened to you?

SilentStrider: Harry Potter is a definite.

I was going to post exactly this.
the rest looks like sheeite

/'cept, perhaps, easy A

2010-09-06 08:58:31 AM
Aside from maybe "Howl," there's not a single one of those movies that grabs me enough to want to see it. I guess it's time to hibernate until next summer.

2010-09-06 09:17:34 AM
I want to see Easy A, because I think Emma Stone is funny, I'm not expecting an Oscar worthy movie, just something to keep me entertained for 90mins or so.
I'm not sure about any of you, but I kind of thought the book 'The Romantics', sucked. I'm sometimes overly critical of books, but I didn't like it all.

Top 10 movies of this Fall as predicted by a bunch of idiots who spend all day arguing about which celebrity wore what designer shoe first.

/I'm just guessing, didn't even look around the site.
//still think I'm in the ballpark.
///link needs the FAIL tag.
