I dunno. We can turn this into a caturday thread. I mean, we can't support the dude's actions, but we can understand the emotions that come from the loss of a cat. I know most caturdays have at least one post of someone posting the cat they've loved and lost.

So. I guess to kick it off...

In Asia, probably. Same as in the US, one would say "pet" cow.

Is there any other way to do it? There are a few other songs that would work.
Something by Styx, mayhaps? They are SO good for the windows down screaming crying snot bubble thing...

It's not crazy though. You have to go to the politics tab for crazy.

I know how he feels.

2010-09-04 03:21:56 AM
My nitpick for today: Why do people say "my pet cat" and "my pet dog"? Seems like "my cat" and "my dog" should be sufficient. Say "pet" if you're talking about something that isn't necessarily a pet, like a goat. Otherwise you're just being redundant.

Subby I've done this in Dukes, Algonquin, Bohan... no big deal. Quite satisfying actually.

I've noticed that since august it's gotten 3 degrees colder, proof as far as I'm concerned that global warming is a farce and we better start burning fossil fuels like there is no tomorrow because at this rate the world will be -82.1 degrees celcius in 33 months.

I think the crazy coincides with the cat like quantum physics as in the eternal question of Schrödinger's cat.

Another question was why it took 50 miles and five barricades to stop him?

Japan is not prepared for American style Fark. The prefer WTF Fark.

I remember how I felt after the death of my beloved box turtle, who I used to dress up in a pink tutu and teenie-tiny little fishnet stocking to have consensual sex with. After it died in a freak scaled-down roller skate and JATO accident, I felt like doing something crazy too.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure "homicidal" is not an emotion even the most pathological of pet owners associate with losing a pet. I think most of us are good with "sad". If you find yourself sympathizing with the ass in the article, I'd ask that you seek help or get it over with in a way that only mildly inconveniences people, like jumping off of a building, instead of something that puts their lives in jeopardy.

Maneki Neko, lucky Japanese money cat (not a Chinese custom).

www.shiotsu-used-car.com

Yup. Cats are usually considered lucky and not tasty. The country's main food staples are rice and fish; the cats eat the rats and mice that would feed on the rice and hang around fishermen's wharfs for the fish scraps. Then there's the catgirl thing which can be traced to old folk stories about shapeshifting cats. These days the Japanese like to dress them up and do things like appoint them stationmaster on the Kishigawa line.

Well, I'm sorry for him in the sense that I'm sorry he went nuts and needs to be locked up for a while. But his behavior calls for a vacation - a nice long one, in a place with padded walls.
In this case, cutting him a break would not be doing him any favors.
