Having myself been pulled over doing 149 in a 55 without getting arrested, I can tell you for a fact, the answer is "No".

That said, I have no idea what you have to do to get arrested for speeding. There are no details there, so I can only speculate that she is in some state with really farked up laws regarding speeding. Otherwise if you are speeding excessively you would be charged with reckless endangerment or resisting an officer or something along those lines. Generally I believe in most states speeding is a non-arrestable moving violation though, even at "energy speed" (which is what my ticket read for the above mentioned infraction) so I don't know what gives here.

CSB sidenote: The cop spent more time drooling on my car than he did writing the ticket. I was in a 1971 Olds 442, and he caught me in one of the last 1975 Gran Furys the MI State Police was running. He could have had me any time he wanted in that car, but followed me for a few miles just for fun. Nice guy.
