What stuck me as weird was that it seemed like they revoked his visa and then detained him for not having a visa...

TFA: When he was released Aug. 23, Kumar's visa was revoked, the Chronicle said. Because he didn't have a passport or visa, he was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

You gotta admit, That guy starring in the video is cool. Cool in an over the top, 80's sort of way, and no one I'd want to emulate, but still cool. And THOSE Dot-Indian chicks were hot. In real life, most of them are hideous, but the ones that get proper nutrition and don't have to work awful and hard jobs from the age of 7 can be pretty hot.

/why do I have a thing for foreign girls? Don't get me wrong, a pale skinned blond will stop my heart, and I loved the way my corn fed, midwest farmgirl ex-wife looked, but something about a pretty arab or asian girl will make me jizz my pants. It's not like I haven't banged a few, and even dated a couple. Nor do I think I'd have trouble being happy with an all American babe. Ah hell, it's late and I'm tired, and I've had a couple of whatever you call that drink where you mix coconut rum with milk and ice in honor of my brother's family who just left for Dauphin Island, so I really don't know about all this.

/of course, with the foreign chicks you gotta deal with the whole cultural differences thing. My Filipina ex-gf was quite the handful. If she even though I'd so much as glanced at another girl, she'd do this thing where she wouldn't talk to me except in a monotone, with short answers, until I either bought her something or gave a profuse apology. If I just ignored it, eventually there would be a fight, and goddamn that girl could be vicious, all 5-foot 92 pounds of her. Of course, to balance that out, most of the time she was so sweet you wouldn't believe it, and always happy.

/sorry for the threadjack, I don't drink often at all, I just had a truly hideous day at work, the kind where your boss tells you to just go home so "I don't have to look at you anymore", so I had a couple drinks.

Yep, the video (in the actual link) is damn cool. The central message seems to be "riding one of these is sort of cool and dangerous, but as soon as you take off your helmet, random crowds will appear and applaud you". Greatness!

not a cool story and not really related:

A guy I know was pulled out of line because he had a suspicious book in his back pack. It was in some kind of strange language the TSA people could not figure out, and it had pics/drawings of people wearing suspicious looking clothing. Several officials were consulted and they all stood around scratching their heads, not knowing what to do.

The book was a very old, very well thumbed copy of Wheelock's Latin, with the covers missing, and taped up to keep it from falling apart. When he was finally given a chance to explain, the very paranoid TSA people wanted to know what he was doing with a Latin text, what was his goal. Did he have plans to visit Latin America?
