I gather the cuffs were still... uh, slippery from their previous encounter and he was just trying to rescue puppies...

2010-09-03 01:25:28 PM
Actually, because I was reading this here, I assumed he drowned or something.

Johnson then ran down an embankment and into the river, police said, and officers were able to catch Johnson a short time later.

How anti-climactic.

2010-09-03 02:06:47 PM
yeah, but where did he hide them?

Moral of this story:

If being chased by cops
one should not stop
at a bar for a drink.

Doing so makes you a: Double Dumbass

I was very disappointed.

I do not think that would actually be the safe assumption submitter. In fact I believe this would be very interesting news. Let us say that for instance this person did this escaping after doing the rape of a young girl. Then the person does the movies later in life. This would be the story to tell the children and would very much be more interesting than to say that the person just moved to another place for the fun of doing this. So I am not sure what you are trying to pull here but the story I just did the reading of was not exciting and if the person did do the escaping for a new life I would have a better expectation of reading this here because it would be more of a surprise.

Merely an example of Fark stories being chosen by the Monte Carlo method.

A Bethlehem man is missing? Oh, I've heard THAT story before.

2010-09-03 02:29:12 PM
Did they not remove the crack from his pockets before/after cuffing him, or was he that hard-up for some he hit up his dealer after crawling out of the drink?

2010-09-03 02:29:50 PM
Now THAT is a fascinating story!

2010-09-03 02:30:48 PM
Maybe he should have tried swimming to Monte Cristo instead.

If I was not at work, I would be photoshopping Monty Hall into a Monte Carlo and label it "The Count of Monte Carlo"

So, you can have that later or, you can go for what's behind door number 3.

Inside Johnson's pockets, police said they found two baggies of cocaine. Johnson was handcuffed and put into a cruiser.

Johnson, whose last known address was 2160 Johnson Drive, is charged with possession of drugs, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, false identification to police, possession with the intent to deliver and escape. Police said Johnson is in Northampton County Prison under $75,000 bail.

So two baggies = intent to deliver?

FTFA: But by the time police arrived at the station, Johnson had somehow had somehow slipped out of his cuffs, police said.

I wonder if that part was for emphasis. He somehow, somehow slipped out of those cuffs. Either that, or the proof reader is in the eigth grade.

Also, I am noticing that Submitards think Fark is all about the headline and nothing about the actual article.

2010-09-03 03:26:04 PM
Oh PS.

Then you have some TFers who dont even Try at either the headline nor the article. "Ugly-ass baby animal born at zoo" etc...

How many times do I have to see the same tired headlines regarding the same boring articles.

Please dont say "Well let's see you do better" we both know Fark doesnt work that way.

(eye roll)

Christ, if it bothers you that effing much, don't bother. I've been pissed off about exactly one non-greenlight in the past 7 years, and that was the Michigan Oil Spill. Of course, there were Gulf Oil Spill threads to hijack, so I had that going for me and other Michiganders, which was nice.

TFers can comment on their own submissions and give their link a slight leg up in being noticed and then approved, but that's about it. They can also see what's already been submitted, so if someone really cared about a greenlight and not wasting their time they could waste their time looking at the queue before submitting.

Let me tell you about the TotalFarkers. They are different from you and me. They possess and enjoy early, and it does something to them, makes them soft where we are hard, and cynical where we are trustful, in a way that, unless you subscribe to TotalFark, it is very difficult to understand. They think, deep in their hearts, that they are better than we are because we had to discover the compensations and refuges of life for ourselves. Even when they enter deep into our world or sink below us, they still think that they are better than we are. They are different.
