Your argument is invalid. Heath Ledger wasn't an Oscar winner when he died.

60-40 that this wasn't a THATS THE JOKE headline. Could be wrong.

If anything, that posthumous win would only extend the zombie unlife of Zombie Heath Ledger.

that's not the proper use of "beg to differ" on top of everything else that is wrong here.

The Dark Knight wasn't that good.

Uh yeah it is, actually. Perhaps you're thinking of begging the question? (new window)

I don't think he's doing any begging at this point.

I wish Heath Ledger had lived.

Then, dumb fanboys wouldn't think The Dark Knight was the "gretest thing evar!!111!@2"

Yeah a critically praised, box office super smash shouldn't be even considered among things that are great.

Wasn't that good. Idolized posthumously. Two for two.

I finally watched The Dark Night this week, or at least the last 2/3 on one of the movie channels. Pretty good, but Ledger's performance was more from good writing of an unbalanced character than inherent ability.

Dark Knight is and will be an all-time favorite. I will pass that movie down to my future generations.

But on a more serious note, can we just agree to post panel images of morbid heath ledger jokes?

That means Anna Paquin will outlive cockroaches, Twinkies, and Cher.

And yet, even now, Adam Sandler still walks the earth...

Mark Hamills Joker will live on, and on, and on, and still be the best joker laugh.

I wonder how this will affect Hillary Swank. The oscars should lengthen her life, but she only wins them when she is beaten to death in a movie. You'd think that would cancel it out.

The Dark Knight had the same "problem" that Inception seems to have experienced (although it happened more quickly for the latter): the hype mislead people into thinking they were supposed to be seeing the "GREATEST MOVIE EVAR", and when it turned out to not be that, the resultant backlash was harsh. When the dust settles (two years isn't long enough), I think people will remember it more for its good parts and less for its flaws.

oh c'mon - even if the rest of the movie was 'Gigli farks Ishtar in Waterworld' the pencil scene would've been worth the admission price

I'm 40% lucky! The scrap metal I'm made from included a truckload of horseshoes from the luckiest racehorses in Mexico, who had just been sent to a glue factory.

Why did you not make this voteworthy?

I was wondering about that. Then they should have shown Amelia being smokeraped and killed by the Smoke Monster.

Both movies are ranked in the top10 at imdb... and both have over 85% at RT.

I think that speaks for itself.

Wow that's... excessive.
My complaints about the Dark Knight were:
1. Bale went a little over the top with the gruff voice.
2. The batcycle was stupid
3. The movie should have ended 30 minutes earlier. The story started to drag a bit and I think ending with Dent/2 Face missing from the hospital and the Joker in jail would have been perfect.

Still liked the movie but I perfected Batman Begins.

/just my 2 cents.

Yeah, Dark Night was a very good movie, even with its flaws. But I still prefer Batman Begins, also with its flaws.
