Personally I've just started referring to TLC as "the freak show channel" and no one seems to have an issue understanding what I'm referring to.

I guaran-damn-tee they've already got a show in the works. As gruesome as it was, the "Anatomy of a Shark Bite" show was made because a researcher nearly had his leg bitten off while filming a relatively benign segment for shark week. His motivations made sense... humans are the great polluters, after all. However his actions and the object of his scorn paved the road from "understandable" to "how did you miss the padded room all these years?"
