"He was, in a bizarre sense (bizarre because it appears counterintuitive), a true idealist.

George had immense simplicity in how he saw the world. Right or wrong, it led to decisive leadership."

Yeah, well about that...

You know who else was bizarrely idealistic and, right or wrong, exhibited decisive leadership?

Subby, do you know what that second "F" stands for in "BFF"?

Dude, That's the joke.

Sounds like the ideal leader to coerce into taking up the brunt of pointless wars.

"immense simplicity?" that should be GWB's autobiography title.

Just about anybody capable of identifying with a majority of bizarrely idealistic American voters over the last 40 years?

I can understand why that's the selling quote in the US. Here in the UK, it's Blair basically saying that he knew Gordon Brown would be a useless Prime Minister, because he has zero charisma. Surprising blunt, especially considering he's still kissing Bush's arse in the very same memoir.

Gordon Brown always looked like a used car salesman. He just looked shabby

GWB 2-0

B.O. 1-?

Yeah, GWB sucked sooo much he only got to be president twice. As for T.B. it was Clinton's people who helped him get elected.

Yeah, I gathered that about him every time I watched him do an ad-hoc press conference. Also was confirmed from the inside by reading "What Happened" by Scott McClellan (interesting book btw).

I preferred the Telegraph's article. Link (new window) My favorite Bush quote from the article: "You got the Belgians running Europe?" For some reason it makes me smile. It's also very revealing that he, President of the United States, would not know who the head of the EU was.

I like your understatement. It either suggest you have a lot of class, or else that you are an impeccable troll.

Quasar: Sounds like the ideal leader to coerce into taking up the brunt of pointless wars.

Wow. I like this theory, if only because the English Empire needs a few wacky boosters who think it is still a stronger world power than the American Empire. It's kind of nefarious to think of the USA as just another pawn between the Russians and the House of Windsor.

It's not really nefarious. England lied to get us to overthrow leadership in Iran some decades ago because of oil contract disputes, and they played the same game in Iraq. It's not about being a stronger world power, it's about leveraging the strength of an ally to do your dirty work and look like the bad guy.

Does the publishing of his bullshiat FINALLY mean we have seen the last of that scum Blair? Or at least until his sorry ass gets dragged into the Hague and he ends up getting burned at the stake. As Cromwell said "In the name of god GO."
