I wanted to be Lady Gaga in her bubble outfit last year, but I couldn't figure out how to make those bubbles or where to buy them so I gave up and went as a cat. I'm a failure.

Goodwill, Salvation Army, or any other thrift/donation store would be a good place. That way if you had to destroy one you could and not feel bad about it.
Hell, get him a snazzy fedora and a giant stick and have him go as Harry Dresden, the wizard noir detective.

I'm going to be at the MD Renaissance Faire on Halloween this year. I was trying to figure out a costume but if I were a little skinnier (ok, a lot) I would totally do the Salem Witch Trial version of Lady Gaga.

One year we all stoically played texas hold'em while dressed up. My girlfriend at the time had this perfect Joey Ramone wig. I looked pretty damn good, just a foot too short.
