I'm almost surprised at how much I vehemently dislike that woman.

He was, just that when he said "all of them" it was at least plausible, if not believable.

I'm not - every time that semi-retarded twat opens her mouth I feel like punching through a glass window. She is the complete embodiment of everything that is wrong with politics in this country.

And she wouldn't bother me at all if there wasn't a not-insignificant portion of the electorate who actually sees her as credible on something other than shooting a moose.

I try not to get worked up about exasperating idiots and their growing ubiquity, but something about her just rankles me so much.

I guess it's because I'm afraid of strong, conservative women.

why? she represents the worst of america. she's vain, greedy, lazy, dishonest, petulant, ignorant, hateful, manipulative, cynical and shrill. she is, in short, an appalling woman.

no surprises here.

It's times like these when I actually wish she WOULD run for president, just so Obama could debate her.

Or better yet, Hillary Clinton. She couldn't cry and whine about mean ol' man being sexists if Hillary beat the shiat out of her.

2010-08-31 11:59:26 AM
I can just imagine the list of questions Sarah's handlers would prepare for her to ask Obama (with a camera rolling and after the check cleared, of course):

"What would you say you hate more: America or Jesus?"
"In what respect did growing up in Kenya make you a better Muslim?"
"How old were you when you first embraced Socialistic Fascism of the Marx/Stalin style?"
"Is there anything that makes you sadder than an American flag?"
"What flavor of falafel do you celebrate the 9/11 attacks with?"
"When you surrender to our enemies do you kneel down with your left knee or your right?"
"Do you think my ass looks fat in this pantsuit?"

what_now: It's times like these when I actually wish she WOULD run for president, just so Obama could debate her.

I don't. This country increasingly appears to extol the virtues of ignorance. When we see people prefer fake plumbers over "experts" (said with scorning tone and smirk) and excoriate the intelligentsia for being too smart, Palin's virtuoso debate catastrophe would be nothing short of a victory for her.

Or better yet, Hillary Clinton. She couldn't cry and whine about mean ol' man being sexists if Hillary beat the shiat out of her.

Well, depending on the phase of the moon, the Republican "feminism narrative" may be on the wane and Hillary would be called a man.

What DOESN'T this stupid b*tch complain about? These "momma grizzlies" sure are a whiny bunch.

"On a scale of 1-10, how much do you hate our troops, with 1 being 'a lot' and 10 being 'most hate ever.'"

I only skimmed the article (my doctor said I need to stay away from cognitive dissonance). What "basic questions" does Palin think Williams was supposed to ask but didn't?

2010-08-31 12:12:35 PM
I'm no longer capable of reading quotes from Sarah Palin without hearing that godawful screeching harpy-voice of hers.

Man, lots of inflammatory headlines today.

Did a bar tab come due?

John McCain should be drawn and quartered for bringing this vapid twat into the public arena on such a large scale.

Well she does keep up on all the news, so maybe there's something to her opinion

She really is dumb as shiat, isn't she.

Because the silent majority isn't mainstream. They are a pack of nonconformists who think for themselves as a group.

I don't know, "hey, what do you think of people who think you're a secret muslim?" is about as hard hitting as "what do you think about people who think 9/11 was an inside job?"

Palin's taking the wrong approach, wanting to ask him more ridiculous follow up questions though. Maybe we should talk about things that are actually important?

2010-08-31 12:28:56 PM
She goes from GILF to GILP awfully quick

2010-08-31 12:31:57 PM
She's correct, of course, sitting presidents are hardly ever asked the really hard questions.

/her questions were stupid

For those that are curious here is a transcript of the Williams-Obama interview^

I must say, I can really see Palin's point. Brian tossed Obama lots of "softball" questions like:

1) The New York Times said this weekend, "President Obama has another new plan on the economy. Now would be a good time to find out about it." Do you have anything new on the economy? And while you've been away, we had a horrible GDP number last month.

2) Mr. President, you're an American born Christian. And yet, increasing and now significant numbers of Americans in polls, upwards of a fifth of respondents are claiming you are neither. A fifth of the people, just about, believe you're a Muslim.

3) As you note [Glen Beck's recent rally] ties into an economy in down times. Do you have a message for the disenchanted? The angry? The angry who are unemployed and feeling victimized by this economy?

4) Finally, sir, because I see fidgeting - on Iraq. You're speaking on that subject this coming week. We watched the last of the combat troops leave live on on television. Our own Richard Engel wrote along with them. The end of Operation Iraqi Freedom. What would it take to send combat troops back in? A real and present threat to the 50,000 or so that remain in the so-called noncombat role would General Ordierno have to call you and say, "We need more firepower back here." There were what? Fourteen coordinated bombings on one day.

2010-08-31 12:51:30 PM
And, to top it all off, Brian Williams made Obama wear gloves...so he was rendered mute for the entire interview.

wait...

2010-08-31 12:51:45 PM
Sarah Palin is whining that the media needs to be more aggressive - well, with Barack Obama.

And? He's the President, he should be asked "tough questions" and as for Palin, who cares if she gets pre-approved questions and press authorization, she's no longer in politics, she's a talking head. She doesn't matter anymore. Ignore her, maybe she'll go away.

And by that, she means that Williams should have rudely interrupted him with GOP talking points like Bret Baier would.

Not every interview needs to be "hardball." Part of the problem with the media is that is exactly what everyone expects, 100% of the time.

NBC asked Obama tough questions during the campaign, as they did Palin, and everyone else.

Palin's problem is her intellect and personality lead you to ask questions that may seem almost low-brow.

Obama, not so much. Look how he answered that "birth certificate" question... he let it pass. He didn't go nuts on birthers or Tea Partiers. He just said "I don't have time for this." That response rendered Williams mute on any snarky retort.

IIRC Palin never went on with NBC. After her "in what respect Charlie" appearance on ABC and observation about seeing Russia from her front porch with Katie, she pretty much stuck to Hannity and Rush for the rest of the campaign.

What a strange set of feelings I've had for her over the past 3 years.

During the election, I just found her laughable. Afterward, I was completely indifferent because she wasn't in the news. Now, she's still irrelevant, but always around, so now I really want terrible things to happen to her.

Yeah, but Obama is going to lose in 2012. The same three people on Fark always tell me so, and they're never wrong. I hear they've got statisticals and everything.

Indeed, I do. Didn't read it as sarcasm, but I actually did think the interview was more "softball" than some of the Palin interviews. But they're not one in the same. Not all interviews have to be "hardball."

This coming from the same koont who wanted a guy to be fired for saying the R-word in a closed meeting, but defended the shrew that dropped multiple N-bombs on the air. And told her to "reload."

I seriously do not understand the appeal of this vicious, stupid person.
