If he's the agent for several major league baseball players then, yes, yes I can believe.

Castro a troofer?

That narrows down his location. He's either swinging on the Riviera or lying in a Bombay alley. The odds are he won't live to see tomorrow.

I think there's a verb tense error here, not 'is' but 'was' because OBL has been dead for years. OBL is the United States' Snowball, always blamed for the problem but never actually seen or heard from directly.

I think this guy has Alzheimer's. He still thinks this is the 80's or something where we did pay Bin Laden to fight the Soviets.

Oh sure, the CIA gave him training and weapons money back then, but that doesn't count!

You're a traitor and a crazy person if you think that counts.

Also, don't be afraid to breathe in that WTC dust, it's perfectly safe, they said so on 9/12. And saying they were less than truthful is crazy, you know that.

I was attending Mardi Gras with Fidel Castro
Buxom cross dressers threw fake gold coins at our feet
As we discussed the fate of the revolution
Suddenly, CIA men dressed in bikinis
Tried to stab us with fountain pens
Fidel blew mustard gas from his cigar
And immobilized the lot of them
19 tequilas later we had a deal
Havana goes back to the mob
And Fidel and I open a chain of Kentucky Fried Chicken shops

Once a spook, always a spook.

I ran into a guy who sounded like he knew something about Bin Ladden and the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan.

I remember him saying something like here we are giving this guy like $200 a week to wage jihad and then we find out he has like $12 million in the bank.

A truther?

And remember, they said that you could go right up to the smoking debris pile and suck in those fumes! rolls eyes.

/I've noticed a small upswing in Truthers cherry picking the EPA's statements lately. That at the same time they are claiming that many of the guys working the pile were in on the inside jobby job.

Aren't you guys forgetting how bin Laden put in a special appearance that pretty much clinched the election for Bush in 2004? It was awfully convenient.

That's not entirely accurate. We did fund the Mujahidin, but we were not specifically working with bin Laden. We worked directly with certain warlords, at least one of whom worked with bin Laden. It's a slight distinction, but an important one. There were only a handful of Afghans we worked with directly.

I don't recall that, but I do recall the capture of Saddam Hussein being called "politically timed."

He was never a spook, he was just appointed a political position as Director. He had no intelligence experience, he was a silver spoon politician, just like his son.

and you believe that? You mean to say the CIA wasn't specifically working with the son of one of the most powerful families in Saudi business, while the Saudis and Pakistanis were the ones taking the money from donors and passing it on to the Taliban?

The weekend before the Presidential election in 2004 bin Laden released a long, rambling "message for America". It was pretty much the last nail in the coffin for the Kerry campaign.

Oh right you mean his short stint as a photographic analyst while he really wanted to be a pilot means he had a long history of covert ops? He never worked for the CIA until appointed, he never had an intelligence related job before either. He was passed around his families connections of oil companies to make a small fortune then went into politics after his name was out there for a while and he could finance his own campaign, also with family connections... just like his son.

Possibly not. They offered him cool S.H.I.E.L.D. bionic parts that would look totally real, and he flat-out refused.

From the looks of it, he doesn't need them anyway.

But maybe he'll get over it and accept them in the future.

Nightjars: Random coinciding events, or conspiracy? That's up to your paranoid mind to decide...

There are no conspiracies, just coincidences. George Bush, Sr. never worked for the CIA prior to his appointment as head of that agency, which never had any contact with Osama Bin Ladin or the Bin Ladin Group.

The Bushes and Bin Ladin see each other socially, but Osama is the Black Sheep of the family, and despite his mutual interest in kicking Soviets out of Afghanistan in the 1980s, their paths never crossed.

Have a nice day.

2010-08-28 11:24:48 AM
Really, I don't know why the 9/11 conspiracy theorists don't latch on to this theory, and instead like to talk about drones and controlled demolitions.

Think about it.

The US has given terrorist groups money before to fight against people the CIA doesn't like.

Terrorist groups destabilize oil-rich countries, making them more reliant on outside support.

Terrorists, with a little prompting, can probably be aimed at certain groups for political effect. India getting a little weak about the War on Terror? Mumbai attack.

I'm not saying it's true (it's probably not), but as far as conspiracies go, it's more plausible than many.
