Someone should tell him that wearing his seat belt isn't just a good idea.

It's the LAW

2010-08-26 06:54:04 PM
What a lovely set of human beings.

2010-08-26 06:54:28 PM
Nice old people talking about boring stuff is more interesting when one of them is famous.

mud_shark: 7 minutes in - when does it get "amusing"?

It's Seinfeld-related. The answer is "never."

2010-08-26 07:00:38 PM
Too old to even care about seat belt laws eh?

I guess he is just glad he didn't have to power the car with his feet!

"Wanna drink?"
"no"
*next scene he's holding a drink*

2010-08-26 08:06:31 PM
One of my biggest character flaws is that I dislike nice old people. So yeah, I really disliked the people in that video.

Gilligann: "Wanna drink?"
"no"
*next scene he's holding a drink*

Noticed that as well. "Want a soda?" "No thank you." Next scene he appears to be holding wine.

Jerry Stiller is an absolute scream. I had no idea he was so mild-mannered in real life, though.

2010-08-26 08:59:11 PM
So it's awesome to you Farkers that some people are nice?

/tell me where you live so I can avoid it at all costs

Atlanta.. surrounded by angry Republicans screaming about mosques in New York and that our president is a Mooslim.

After watching a lot of King of Queens over the last few years I now think of Jerry Stiller more as "Arthur" than "Frank". Pretty much the same character though.

2010-08-26 10:39:02 PM
Surprising ... how much of a waste of time that was. Thanks for nothing.

2010-08-26 10:46:10 PM
Charming. Nice people.

2010-08-26 10:56:31 PM
and this is why i never got into seinfeld. it just wasn't that interesting. Rambling stories that don't go anywhere, interesting people made uninteresting, and a quiet embarrasment for all those involved.

/basically like my life
//only with a budget

Seems like he's lost all that energy he had in the shows of his past...I guess it's been a while since um... what King of Queens?

2010-08-27 02:26:13 AM
So who else, when he was first opening the door and you couldnt see him that well, thought for a split second it was Larry David for some reason?

spigi: I made it a minute. Did I miss anything?

Yes. Just as you will miss out on everything interesting in life.

Thanks subby,

I've just added Jerry Stiller to my dead pool list

2010-08-27 08:25:27 AM
the results will surprise you all

only if

1. you didn't know old people lived in Astoria

2. you didn't know people in general are basically very nice.

3. you find the sun rising in the east surprising

The irony of it all is that woman was just like Estelle Costanza. It was spooky how this real woman is a doppelganger (voice, gestures, randomness of it all with a scarf!) of a character of show that has been off the air for 12 years. Loved the video, anything with Jerry Stiller makes me happy.

Same here. All I could think watching this was, "Man, he's really starting to act his age."

alternatively:

a. it never occurred to you that Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, when writing "Seinfeld," decided to make their characters resemble the types of real-life people they saw around them when growing up in Astoria.

/Oh my God! I went to Tennessee, and the people there talked just like Sandra Bullock in "The Blind Side." Isn't that weird?
