Either that article was repetitive or they just said the same thing many times.

Yeah, but maybe it's just repetitive and says the same thing many times?

I'd argue that it was actually sort of redundant in spots. It repeated itself, and covered a lot of the same ground more than once.

Normally repeats bug the shiat out of me, but in this case it's about Iron Maiden, so I will give it a pass.

I love the new one. I think my favorite track is The Man who would be King.

"I loathe all the celebrity c**p - all the minders, the backstage b**locks. We hate it all. We are all about the music. If we could beam ourselves back home after a show, we'd go to the shops as if nothing had happened. The rest is just fluff. It's nice but it's b**locks in the grand scheme of things."

I can sort of see censoring "bollocks", but "crap"? I'm not sure what else would fit in there in that context.

So instead of Bruce himself flying the band around in their own plane they should be renting jets to travel around the world at much greater cost? They have to travel to tour you understand?

On the grand scale of celebrity behavior this is right at the bottom.

The jet was chartered by the band and retrofitted to their specs. After the tour(s), it was returned to commercial service.

Big bands take their instrumets / set equipments by truck and fly on a normal pax airplane.
That is NOT more expensive than paying the fuel burn of a transcontinental jetliner.

WHich HE FLIES because he's a professional pilot, tard.

And that's an Airbus 321, not a 757.

Actually, IIRC, the plane was done as a promotional thing after his day job (professional pilot) became international news when he personally flew in to bring 200 stranded UK citizens home during the Israel/Lebanon conflict in 2006.

Also, after the collapse of XL Airways, he personally flew into Egypt to bring another 200+ stranded UK citizens home.

Pretty farking awesome guy, really.

So last week I went to the aquarium, because I'd never been to one before. It was the same week that Ozzfest was in town. It was fun at first to laugh at all the 15-year-old nerds in bandanas. Then I realized I can't stand metal heads. They're almost worse than christians.

as a lifelong metal head, i have never seen any metal heads wearing bandannas.

as far as the "worst than christians" comment..... i wish i could say that it wasn't true, but a conversation with Leader o' Cola in any heavy metal housecall thread will show otherwise. yep, "elitist metalheads" ARE worse than christians. ALMOST.

It took me a long time to figure out what the censored words were. Seriously. Crap and bollocks?

Here I was thinking "c**p? Is this some awesome foreign word that is even more obscene than coont?"

How does him flying a 757-200 make ME a tard? I know that he's a pro pilot. I know what he did in Egypt.
I just think he's being hypocritical.

Why is that hypocritical? The band has to fly to tour, and Bruce is a licensed pilot.
