The History Channel 7 years ago ran a very well-produced documentary about the Kennedy Assassination and had someone demonstrate the three shots with the exact same make and model gun that Oswald used, and he pulled off all three shots in under 8 seconds. Including pausing before the 3rd shot as Oswald was believed to have done.

Is there any credence to be given to the stories that claim dozens of people who were either witnesses or otherwise had contradictory evidence were either threatened into silence/changing their stories or outright killed under suspicious circumstances? I admittedly don't know a whole heck of a lot about the JFK conspiracy theory. However, there are a few more contemporary conspiracy theories that I put quite a lot of effort into learning about, mainly 9/11, chemtrail, and NWO conspiracy theories. I've probably seen every single 9/11 Truth documentary made between 2003 and 2008.

My conclusion from this has been that conspiracy theorists as a general class are retarded. As one academic put it they are "epistemologically crippled", intellectually unable to parse the value of evidence they are presented with and the strength of arguments.

If some day a massive NWO-type conspiracy does emerge from the political mist Alex Jonesians and Jeff Rensers will not be the ones to recognize it. They lack the essential critical thinking capacity to properly identify the limited range of things that do exist because they are overwhelmed by an ungoverned pattern recognition capacity to recognize things that don't exist, and a fear of second-guessing themselves for fear of being manipulated.

So official stories may be omissive, contain errors, etc. But the conspiracy theorist narrative is by far more riddled with error and omission by the nature of its construction.

you know, I probably will sound kinda kooky for saying this, but it is at least somewhat plausible to me that there were some controlled explosives in the Twin Towers and other huge buildings, just in case there was an emergency, such as Jihadist radicals flying jets into the buildings, to limit the causalities. The twin towers didn't fall straight down, but they fell straight-ish down. It would have been a worse disaster if they hadn't.

And if some kind of system like this was in place, in various huge buildings, that would justify some kind of conspiracy to keep that quiet, to prevent that system being misused.

It depends on the specific narrative. There is never one singular theory that all theorists subscribe to. I personally believe that there is a significant amount of missing information from both the "official" JFK assassination accounts and the 9/11 terrorist attack accounts, but I don't think thay makes me a retard.

The Zapruder film was heavily edited. There is a really good breakdown of it on YouTube showing all the problems with the released version of the film. Watch the film and notice at one point everyone in the car lurches forward violently all at the same time. This is because the Secret Service agent driving the car slammed on the brakes in the kill zone to allow the fatal shot the best chance of a direct hit. There is an edit where they take out the 2-3 seconds where the car was at a complete stop in the middle of the road but you still see everyone fall forward. Eye witnesses also reported that they saw the car stop completely and thought that was a very odd thing to happen while shots were being fired. Interesting thing to watch when it's broken down frame by frame.

While those of a criminal bent may engage in practices like contract murder to control lucrative garbage collection routes, construction contracts, prostitution or numbers on a local level, it's simply unthinkable that those in the political class could or would engage in similar behavior because...well just because...
