TFA: 7. Cyclists

I don't know what it is with cyclists now days. Two weekends ago, I went to store and saw half a dozen bike riders readying themselves for an early morning ride. One of them was 5'8" and had to weigh nearly 300 pounds. He had a huge gut. *And* he was wearing all of the expensive road bike clothing. They make cycling spandex for someone who's 5'8" and has a 50+ inch waist?! Man, that was sight I will not soon forget.

I support anything that makes fun of Grey's Anatomy and Twilight.

Cyclists? Go fark yourself. The great majority of cyclists are polite, and at least in my city, I rarely see them holding up traffic. Plus, moron, each biker on the road is taking one more car out of traffic for you.

and here in SF cyclists are assholes that think they own the roads and that stoplights don't apply to them.

I think he may be talking about people who do it for workout. His rant on that subject is a little off base to be sure. But it does seem that there is a fair number of sport cyclists who are into it just to look cool or something (re: the huge guy in spandex I mentioned). The "passing on your left" or "on your left" warning from cyclists is something that should be done with plenty of time as not to startle the person they are passing. Any cyclist who gives this warning while narrowly zooming by the person at the *exact* same time, as opposed to further back isn't doing it right. Yes, many joggers/walkers (not runners) don't understand that concept. But it is up to the cyclist to account for this.

Fair enough. I suppose in San Fran cyclists more often not think they're holier than thou and look down on car drivers. I just prefer to bike, I don't care if someone prefers to drive.

As an actual Metal fan, particularly of Progressive and Symphonic Metal (and occasionally Black Metal), I'm really not sure what the hell you're talking about. You think "Nickelback, Sick Puppies, Seether, Breaking Benjamin, etc." qualifies as metal music? WTF are you smoking? Let me introduce you to Iced Earth, Opeth, Symphony X, Orphaned Land, and if we get into oldies we'll have to hit Dio and Dream Theater (and some of Dream Theater's new stuff, of course).

Seriously, who the FARK thinks Nickelback is metal? Or even rock?

4. Hospital Dramas (Really Just One in Particular)

I have no opinion of Grey's Anatomy and pretty much only watch House on occasion because Hugh Laurie is farking awesome. I'd actually love it if Lie to Me and House crossed over, because the Bullshiat Artist versus the Lie Detector has so much hilarity potential it's insane.

5. Smoke-Free Bars

Yeah, uh, if I'm around cigarette smoke for any long amount of time, my nose bleeds. That being said, I mostly compensate by.. not going to bars. So I have no problem if bars are smoked in or smoke free.

6. Twitter

7. Cyclists

Huh? Then don't ride a bike if you don't like it.

8. Organic shiat

Are we talking actually organic or just labeled organic? Because a lot of organic isn't actually organic. Either way, if people want to spend their money that way, see if I care.

I tell you what the world needs more of: douchenozzles getting their panties in a bunch over things that don't affect them, or at most are a minor inconvience.

Don't like a certain type of shirt? Don't wear it.
Don't like hospital shows? Don't watch them.
Don't like theme parties? Don't go.
Don't like crappy lists? Don't read them.

Though, for the record, I couldn't agree more on Twilight.

Of course, I loved Vampire the Masquerade and tended to play Malkavians, so I mostly see the sparkly virgin jerkwads of Twilight as food potential. If they're such thin blood they can go in daylight then no one's going to accuse me of diablerie if I eat them, right?
