WhoGAS: If this had been an anonymous internet group of friends, all you people hating this would be lauding it's hilarity.

I never got into Wil on STTNG or the fandom bus, but give the guy and his crew some credit. This was funny stuff. You can hate someone for no reason but still admit when they do something right; it's called maturity.

The jealous hate on here against him is annoying.

Hm.

I found it pretty lame and unoriginal and without the celebrity it's just a bunch of anonymous guys spoofing an already tired and discredited meme, nobody here would likely have found it anything of note to comment on and it almost certainly wouldn't have made it onto the main page at fark.

Given that it's WW though, it acquires a stratospheric level sublime humor appreciated by people here who would normally find claims of some guys peeing in another guy's beer to be mundanely sophomoric at best. In other words, it's pretty limp and unfunny stuff until adorned with the presence of WW at which point it becomes comedy gold of the highest order.

I think you've got it a bit backwards.

Wil is the awesome!

halfof33: mandingueiro: everybody sucks this guy's dick.

You know, I am sure that the whiny biatches complaining about the posts in this farking thread outnumber the posts saying that they liked TFA.

We get it, whiny biatches, now STFU, ya boring bunch of flaming douchebags.

Mandinguero is just pissy 'cause he sucked his dick and Wil never returned his calls.
Face it, you were lame. Now STFU and let those of us with a sense of humor enjoy it.

That is god damn fantastic.

+1 for the surprise Adam Savage!

I don't know who all of those people are, but they made me laugh. So thanks Wil, Adam, and internet strangers.

Okay. I RTFL and it was effing great. This thread cracked me up too.

But then you, you loathable cockroach you, post that clown sweater...and I lose my shiat.
That sweater is never not funny to me.

JudgeItoBox:
You're all too easily entertained.

So?

Keep your expectations tiny and you'll go through life without being so whiny.

Jackpot777: NuclearWinter: hockeychick: The_Original_Roxtar: WHO IS THIS!?!?!?!?!

That would be this chick:

I present to you Ms. Karen Gillan.

Ok, my previous decision to not watch the latest season of Doctor Who was wrong. I shall need to correct this post haste...

Especially this bit.

This ain't your dad's PBS Doctor Who.

To be fair, your dad's Dr. Who was in 20-minute episodes and the Doctor was actually interesting enough that throwing sparkly shiat and eye candy at the viewers every 30 seconds was unnecessary.

Oh goodness, the Fark art & letters connoisseurs are having a fit. Try relaxing your sphincter muscles and see this for what it is, a gag, a joke, nothing high minded, just simple fun. Man, you intellectual morons must be suffering from some mighty constipation today. Maybe a little laughter will loosen your bowels and you'll learn to relax.

StRalphTheLiar: I'm reposting this from another thread since that one was dead by the time I posted. Hopefully someone will catch it this time.

It is high time that everybody start rekognizing Wil for what he is: just another actor playing a part. Self-described geeks have placed him on the guilded podium of geekdom, from whence he can do no wrong in their eyes. He could lie, cheat, steal, I'm sure they'd even forgive him of grand theft auto. He is one of the untouchable (because of one show he was on at the age of fifteen) titans of the comic con scene. The crowds' hysterics are just so over the top, it's like if you let a mouse loose in the girls' room. And the boys are no better - just go home and play with your toy soldiers, nerds. Sometimes you people leave me speechless, and I just can't understand you with any part of me, even the deep core of my soul. Is anybody willing to stand by me on this one?

Approved.

Is this so controversial of a statement? To me, it's run-of-the-mill common sense. Some of the most frightening images to me are those pictures of teenagers beyond hysterics at a Beatles or an Elvis show. This is no different. Are your lives really that empty that anything a certain celebrity says or does is beyond reproach? It's not that I just like different things and I'm lashing out at you for that. Hell, I like Breaking Bad, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna hold Brian Cranston or Vince Gilligan up on this golden pedestal as some sort of infallible king. Really astonishing behavior. Absolutely seconded, Ralph.

w00tstock is hard to explain. The best/closest description I've seen is "vaudeville for geeks". The one I went to was five hours of awesome that didn't feel like it was even close to five hours.

Uh no I actually thought that this blew more chunks than a bulimic girl. And the fact that Wheaton's career peaked with Stand By Me is a fair and objective assesment.

Nah. My sense of humor is intact and nominal. It just wasn't more than very mildly humorous and it rates mention here solely because WW is involved.

The adulation and fawning and general knob-slobbering over this is due solely to the celebrity attached. If it were 4 guys nobody knew then you're saying this would have landed on the Fark front page and garnered nearly 250 comments? Yeah, me neither.

Listen, I also get why People magazine, the National Inquirer and TMZ make money. My lack of fan-dom for those doesn't indicate a failing on my part there either.

Some folks get all gooey over actors...I tend to look at them as people who play pretend for a living is all.

/sigh

It was funny.

And I'm not exactly a huge Wil Wheaton fan. I kept wanting somebody to shove Weasley out of an airlock, with boiling blood and exploding eyeballs effects.

But Wil has grown up, and can clearly make fun of himself as a kid, which gets some points with me.

But come on, people - not only was it funny, but it had ADAM SAVAGE in it. And Adam could probably handle the boiling blood and exploding eyeballs for us.

Everyone's sense of humor is different. And that's okay.

That being said...

I LOL'd.
