All with two outs, setting two MLB records for FAIL (or win, depending on your allegiance). So were' keeping Colvin, Castro, Marmol, Marshall (despite tonight), Byrd, Soto, Silva, and Gorz, Gordz, that guy who we got from Pittsburgh, and who else?

I can't remember the last time I saw a team get 20+ hits in a game. That's ridiculous.

How many more managers (and players) are going to send their careers to the grave on the North Side before there's finally someone else in charge of handing out the contracts?

I rented MLB 10: The Show for PS3 last week, started out with the Nationals as a LF (in AA) until they traded me to the Cubs (playing Road To The Show mode).

2013 we won the World Series against the Oakland A's.

Brandon Phillips, Marlon Byrd, Me (Bucky Berkowitz), Aramis Ramirez, Derek Lee was the leading 5 in the batting order, and Tommy Hanson won the Cy Young for us (19-2).

That's for you, Cubs fan. The Cubs might not win this year, and might not have the mighty Bucky Berkowitz, but anything is possible.

/fun game

As a die hard Cubs fan, I watched the game last night and was shocked. I expected the Cubs to be a .500 team this year, but the farking team had COL down to 2 outs and 2 strikes in the damn inning!!

Good work COL.

I've stated that if your team is on a losing streak, all you need is to wait to play the Cubs.

For all I care, I hope Tommy "My Daddy Bought Me a Baseball Team" Ricketts raises prices another 20% next year since most of the Wrigley fans would be too dumb to notice. >$7.00 for a cup of Old Style anyone?

Jesus, it's not even fun making fun of the Cubs at this point. Really, Cubs fans, my sympathies; this season is just dreadful. (Reminds me of that last year of Dusty Baker, when you had Ronny Cedeno. Ugh.)

It reminds me a lot of the Sox 2007 season. People didn't really expect them to win the division, but cratering the way they did wasn't expected. Well, except by PECOTA, but since PECOTA usually misses the Sox projection on the low side every year (it's been the case pretty much all the other years) no one really thought they'd only win in the low 70s with a similar team to that which had won 89 the previous year despite a rotten year from Buehrle and some of the other starters.

I mean, the Cubs weren't projected to win the division but they were projected to be in it. Then again, I don't think anyone saw Ramirez disappearing for half a season, Zambrano going 100% completely mental, etc.

Probably a lot of "aw jeez" and "oh man".

Which is pretty much any game if you include "alright!". And repeating what Pat just said.

This thrills me to no end. When the Cubs fail I get very happy.

...I do feel bad for the REAL fans who go to the games.

but I wanna punch every Frat Boy and WooHoo Girl I see from Lincoln Park and Wrigleyville, drinking beer and texting their friends while they are at the game. It must be nice to have Daddy buying those season tickets. Puking in the aisles, being rude to children in the stands... yeah. THOSE Cubs fans are the people who need to DIAF.

Eh, that was just middling, not last in the National League. 72-90, so we're not talking awful, just disasppointing.

Oh look, the Cubs just traded Lilly and Theriot to the Dodgers for a bag of beans.

That's because it's mlb.com. They're REALLY slow about this. The individual team pages tend to update first, but even they're slow.

espn.com has it, though.
