Link works fine for me.

Can't find a link, but it was pretty funny when Massachusetts Republican Candidate Jack E Robinson was being interviewed by WBUR by cellphone as Robinson was driving. He wound up having a car accident in the middle of the interview.

This was the same guy who had restraining orders from TWO girlfriends, and lied that he was related to baseball's Jackie Robinson.

I'm Jackie Robinson's third cousin's brother-in-law's nephew. On his mother's side.

He didn't get special treatment for being a politician did he?

California Rep. Dan Lungren was forced to cut short a radio interview when he was stopped by police for speeding while he was live on the air.

The Sacramento Republican was pulled over while talking to KFBK radio Friday morning on his way from his Virginia home to his Washington, D.C. office.

About being in his home state...

One of the biggest scumbags in Congress.

I thought the congressional license plate excused them from being pulled over for speeding.

Usually applies to state reps going to the state capital.

Legally, wherever you reside can be considered your home state, for purposes of being served with subpoenas and other court documents. Although it is not your state of domicile. Unless you live there with the intent of returning there permanently. Which may be what Lungren was thinking about as he got ticketed in full hearing of his constituents.

Lundgren is a steaming pile of poo, even worse than most politicians who also share the same characteristics. Lundgren, however, is a total waste of air. As attorney General of California he did everything and anything to pick and choose laws to his liking -- particularly ones that went after any non-caucasian. He's a total tool of the christian nut-job conservatives and had a horrendous record. The cops just let him go with a warning. Must be nice to be a d-bag with power.

/ oh btw talking on the cell phone w/o a hands free device is illegal in California ( never enforced ) but not Virginia.

From all accounts he sounds like Dbag. That said, the thing about "oh you know any average citizen would get a ticket." I don't know, I have been warned twice, once I didn't even get a ticket for driving with a suspended license while driving to work. Cop told me I to park it and call for a ride.

The cop would have noticed the small number on the plate... hmmm.

/still wants 2 on my plate.
//vote for me!

Once you have something on your record, you're not getting away with a warning unless there's no legal way you could be ticketed. While learning to drive, I was in a reckless driving one-car accident and a couple careless episodes that earned a ticket. Since then, I've had several tickets (half of which were dismissed in court); the only warnings I got were 1. the officer took pity and told me I would lose my license if I got one more point, and recently 2. the officer had no jurisdiction and nothing to charge me with anyway. He just didn't like me entering the left lane only to pass instead of staying in it.

On the other hand, after two tickets for 16-over in two months right after the Great Meltdown, I adjusted down to 14-over and haven't had a ticket in two years since, despite deepening budget problems.

Got to love Lundgren, I have no idea how my hometown and their neighbors elected that joker. Better than Quackenbush at least.
