No, her eyes aren't gray on that cover, they're brown. Or, more likely, hazel. Hazel eyes can sometimes appear as a different color depending on what color that person is wearing.

I have gray eyes. Now, technically, this is impossible, there's no allele for gray, but there you go. When I wear green, they look green-ish, when I wear blue, purple, or even black, they seem to look that color.

Palin isn't some monster. She's not an angel or a savior either, and there are some nuts in her camp. But mostly, she has shown a willingness to reform. Despite her lacking experience, she is trusted not to waste leadership by going with the flow.

It's going to be one hell of a ride. It almost doesn't matter who the GOP nominates, of course. so long as they don't pick someone completely unacceptable (if you think Palin isn't acceptable, you're a crank). 2012 will be a referendum on Obama. If he and congress can turn the economy around, and I hope he does, then he has nothing to worry about. If he doesn't, Bob dole or Dubya could beat him with a landslide.
