Fort Hood officials said that when a soldier has a pay problem, commanders and finance officials help the soldier fix the issue.

I swear to god, military finance makes H&R Block look like Goldman Sachs.

He's nothing but a low-down, double-dealing, backstabbing, larcenous perverted worm! Hanging's too good for him. Burning's too good for him! He should be torn into little bitsy pieces and buried alive!

"I think it's just another example of the prejudice that he's been exposed to," Galligan said. "It's money that he's entitled to, that he has a right to."

Most people actually do something to earn money.

If not, fu*k'im.

Fact! Considering what he did, he should not be getting a paycheck anyway, the banks are doing us a favor.

Train a guy to shoot people and then take away his pay when he does it? Man, the military sure is messed up...

I can think of one bank that is desperate for money, and is run by creatures you can barely call human that would be more than willing to accept his money (link) (new window)

Has this guy tried USAA? I've been hearing nothing but great things from the vets in here.

Isn't this guy also up on some terrorism charges? I am guessing it might have to do with anti-terrorism statues for banks.

And now we know what it takes to get a bank to let you keep your money.

Federal paycheck
federal money
federal government bailed out the banks
federal criminal proceedings require due process

I think what the banks are doing should be considered a federal crime.

He might want to check his MyPay, because he should be getting bimonthly checks, not just monthly.

Well, under ideal conditions it's possible to walk away from a no-parachute landing. In fact, the Russians did some experiments with no-parachute military jumps--it was only done over thick snow and they expected some injuries but fewer than if the guys had been hanging in chutes over the battlefield. I haven't heard anything of how it turned out.

Galligan said Hasan has a car payment, legal fees and obligations to family members. According to the Department of Defense military pay table, a soldier at Hasan's pay grade earns more than $6,000 a month.

So direct deposit into a family members bank account. Problem solved. Gee, was that hard? This is media whoring 101.

Access to a fair trial? Guaranteed right. Access to financial institutions? Not so much.

Unless he has it set up to just get a single monthly check, which is an option.

so in this case payday is a biatch?

but yeah innocent until proven guilty. even for this gobdaw.

A lot of banks won't permit you to direct deposit a periodic payment into a bank account that is not yours.

I am pretty sure witnesses saw him do it, the cops broke in and stopped it, and lasly he ADMITTED he did it. But, sure lets waste money on a trial anyway, he may get off on a technicality.

So why don't we string this guy up by the balls and send his pay to the families of the people he killed? Seems fair to me.

If a bank was willing to open an account for him, what do you think would the reaction of its other customers? Federal laws wouldn't keep them from all pulling out their money and closing their accounts in protest.

Doesn't matter to a bank.

1.) they can do business with whomever they want to.
2.) if terrorist charges are pending, the banks won't touch it.

I bet his lawyer is.

Or maybe the POS gets his for free along with his money.

Moslems don't believe in usury anyway so unless he refuses to accept the interest on monies deposited in his account he's breaking moslem law.

The actual way to show contempt would be to accept his account and then send all sorts of smarmy letters to him in jail that brag about how they're making his money work for him with highest interest rate available.

2010-07-30 07:34:24 PM
What he really fears is access to a fair trial.

What he wants is access to a trial where the issues will be confused and distorted.

He is guilty of a crime the instant he commits a crime. He is convicted (and guilty in the eyes of the law) when he is convicted and all appeals run out.

LOL, burn in hell you terrorist idiot.
Hopefully, he will be found guilty, stood in front of a firing
squad and allowed before the blindfold, to see the officer in charge dip each bullet into pigs blood before loading them into the rifles.

My guess is that he has landed himself on a list with OFAC due to ties to terrorist organizations, but I really haven't read anything on his case so I could just be talking out of my ass.

Gess, some of the white knights in here must want to suck the guys cock or something.

I'm pretty farking liberal, but the dude did it, if anything we should be asking why the fark he still is receiving a paycheck at all... His pay should be suspended until the outcome of the trial, if his lawyer really things he can get him off, he can do it and get a percentage of his back wages then, or use a public defender from JAG or whatever the fark they use.

fark him!

Oh.

Ok.

So you wouldn't be opposed to him being released on bail, then? Oh, and since he's not CONVICTED of anything, still have the right to buy fire arms too?

Because the douchebag is still innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Until he is discharged by firing squad, he is entitled to his paycheck, just like any other servicemember incarcerated.
