Readers say that the headline is missing some adjective and/or verbs to be fully understood

There's going be a lot of discussion of reasonable doubt in the jury room.

Norad: That headline is a goddamn trainwreck.

At least he didn't spell 'patients' as 'patience' like I've seen recently. Actually he didn't even really spell 'patients' did he?

The guy who is trolling you right now: Fact: the victim was blown up by a grenade.
Fact: the defendant in this case owns a lot of guns.

That's all the prosecution has. There's no forensic evidence and no eyewitness testimony linking him to the crime; the prosecution's star witness is a jailhouse snitch. And yet, this man, almost certainly innocent, a doctor who's spent his life helping people, will probably spend the rest of his life in jail because a liberal prosecutor and twelve liberal jurymen think that all gun owners are criminals.

Seriously, read the article. The ENTIRE case against this man is "he owns a lot of guns and a tire". What the fark is this shiat?

To be fair, he also had a bunch of illegal grenades. And he's on record making some incriminating statements.

Now, I don't think there is enough to convict, (there's reasonable doubt), but the case isn't non-existent.

You didn't read the article, did you.

I'm not saying he's guilty - I don't know - but the case against him includes more than just "he owns guns and a tire".

This could be a tough one for Fark Independents. The accused has a lot of guns (a big pro)... but he's rich, educated and an immigrant (all crippling cons).

/I wouldn't convict based on the evidence quoted in the article... but he probably did it

You know, he prescribed painkillers to patients, he didn't make them take enough to kill themselves. I suspect that most Doc's work from the assumption the patients will read and actually follow the instructions, if they don't and get themselves killed, that's Darwinism.

About the case, what case? I'm surprised the defense actually has to present their case. This is a farce.

Headline doesn't seem that hard to me, but let's simplify it:

Bad Doctor who was a farking gun nut sent a bomb to the AR medical board after they stripped him of his license because several of his patients OD'ed on drugs he gave them.

2010-07-30 12:45:42 PM
Wow, if what's mentioned in the article is indicative of their case, the prosecution has nothing.

THIS.

RTFA, like you suggest others do.

They found a bunch of grenades near his home. They found a manual on how to use grenades in his house. He was known to fire practice grenades. A tire, which is what was attached to the grenade that maimed the board official, was found in his freaking shower. And the "jailhouse snitch" was a long-time friend.

But in your world it was only because he had guns.

Um, your wrong. It is perfectly legal for the average citizen to own cannons, machine guns, silencers and so on. All you need is a class III permit.

I'd say its pretty unusual to have one person, much less two people, OD on your scripts.

We don't know FTA the whole facts, but that is pretty unusual, you gotta admit.

He isn't wrong. You are. The second amendment doesn't protect such things. They may be allowed with a permit, but that doesn't mean that its constitutionally protected.

Little bit more than that, like the Doc threating to kill the guy, the testimony of the guy he tried to hire to Kill the victim, the grenade launcher that fires the same kind of grenades used in the bomb, a case of such grenades being found in the woods on the doctor's property, several comments about what the bomb was "intended" to do made to friends..etc

In fact, anyone who supports any amendment is indicative of that group.

For example, the KKK are representatives of the 1st Amendment movement. Right?

Wow, people who are overly obsessed with guns and weapons might be dangerous, who knew?

Look whackadoodles, it's true that not all gun owners are lunatics. Unfortunately it is also true that those who are absolutely obsessed with weapons generally are mentally unstable at some level, at least from my experience. Your group has A LOT of these latter types in it. You keep pushing the crazy and eventually these people will do things like this.
