It's practically legal, it's reasonably cheap & easy to get, and as long as you keep it on the down-low and don't do anything to piss of the cops, you don't have to worry about anything except explaining to your parents what that funny smell is.

And if you're 18, you don't even have to do that.

I've got friends who face random UAs, and they smoke K2.

Personally, I really don't feel like smoking potpourri so I haven't tried it, but they claim it actually gets them a lot higher than standard commercial brick weed.

I truly FARKing hate the mentality of those LEOs though, that since people are enjoying it, it must be made illegal a.s.a.p.

1. Yes, it will knock you flat, although there are varying stories about the goodness of the high, the duration, and what exactly you get; I've heard everything from a trippy, LSD-style high to a mild pot-style mellow. Salvia is not as reliable an herb as pot yet.

2. It's "legal" in the sense that nobody has passed any laws yet to make it illegal. A lot of states have just begun to notice it. Getting it via the Internet or by mail can be problematic due to shipping of vegetable matter regulations (i.e. it's a plant, and there are restrictions on shipping live plants or germinating seeds).

3. You're online, man, just Google "salvia divinorum". I first heard about it around ten years ago on totse.com, when that was an actual outlaw site.

Salvia has the potential to rock your face, its a hallucinogen and if you smoke an extract can be really really potent. Not something you want to smoke if your looking for a weed type high

The Not-Pot^tm does kind of work, I have a few friends who smoke it because of legal issues and they say its not the same but still will get you baked

On a side note, some of those legal alternatives are more potent than the real stuff, but in a different way. Haven't had k2 yet, but I don't mess w/ substitutes anymore, too psychedelic. There are plenty of legal chemicals out there that will screw you sideways, especially things that start with 2c
