FTA What really happened even eludes Garst. All went black after the earth uppercut him. When he came to, he was standing on his feet holding his weapon, turning to see the remnants of the blast and wondering why his squad had a look on their faces as if they'd seen a ghost.

He probably had so much farking rage and adrenaline flowing through his body that it would have taken a farking nuke to knock him unconscious. This guy can now walk around asking:

"I survived a farking bomb under my feet. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?"

Similar thing happened to my brother. The truck he was driving in a convoy got blown up by an IED. Thankfully, the terrorist screwed up and buried it too deep. He walked away as well (although, comparatively, his story isn't as cool).

Indeed. First time I saw it I was reminded of some old earth spells from video games. Hard to believe something like that is real.
